A Deal With A Lesser Devil

"… No matter what happens, no matter how wide the territory Helia claims is, your alpha will always down half of it, because he bears the mark of the Lycan king, Ming Xiao Zhu," So Hee explained earnestly and Lee Tang stared at her before letting out a scoff.

He couldn't believe that this woman was actually telling him this shit when Jiminie was probably on his death bed at the moment. All that Lee Tang wanted was for his best friend to be sane and not in so much pain, and this woman wasn't helping.

"Funny how he shows it, because my alpha has been bleeding for the past ten minutes, and his mark burns. You need to teach your king or keep it in his pants then!" Lee Tang growled and So Hee sighed.

"He wouldn't hurt his erasthai like that," So Hee defended and it took everything in Lee Tang not to push the woman to the ground. He hated it when bad people did bad things and still got defenses.

"Oh yeah? You want to tell me he isn't balls deep in someone else right now, no? That he's kept it in his pants since he asked my alpha, no? That he's been the standard mate since Jiminie came home, right?" Lee Tang questioned.

So Hee looked at the Kiyoto beta, the guilt on her face answering the beta's questions. He had expected this but god damn, knowing that it was true was breaking his heart on behalf of Jiminie.

His best friend had always been a good person who was granted a fate with the worst of the worst. So many people were unnecessarily cruel to Jiminie and Lee Tang hated that there wasn't much that he, the beta could do about it.

"You people are a disappointment. If you won't tell him, then I will tell him myself. If he can't respect the bond he has with his erasthai, then he might as well reject him and let Jiminie be. He might suffer the consequences of a rejection, but Jiminie is strong.

"That is way better than walking into a room and finding him in a puddle of blood, his own blood just because your king was an ass to him even when he was home. Your king is a piece of shit;

"And I sincerely hope he knows that," Lee Tang said angrily as he pushed So Hee's chest before he got on his horse and began heading towards Helia.

It was strange really how he had never thought of the Lycan kingdom having a name and now he was learning of the name just because the man ruling it was a dick to his best friend.

"The Lycans will kill you if you go to Helia. They won't be forgiving, and you will not be any help to the prince consort if you are dead. You need to be alive, whatever the fuck your name is.

"You need to be alive for your alpha because otherwise, he will have lost you for nothing. I can fix the prince consort. I can make him better, even just for a while. I will talk to the king; I swear it on my life.

"I will let him know what his actions have done, but first, you must take me to the prince consort so I can fix him. He needs someone with the knowledge of Lycan bends someone who can channel the King's magic and fix him up, please let me come back with you.

"I swear on my life I will make sure he isn't hurt and no one will know, if you don't need anyone to know my presence in your pack," So Hee said softly as she thought back to the smiles that Jamie had put on Agust's face.

He had breathed life into a soulless king and while Agust would probably never admit to it, everyone had noticed how the king had changed. He smiled often and he was happier. He never killed for the sake of it and he wanted to be better.

There was no doubt that he was trying to be better for Jiminie, but goddamn, this wasn't supposed to happen.

"And why should I fucking trust you? Who's to say that you won't burn our pack to the curb? Who's to say you won't poison him and take over our pack? What should I trust you with?" Lee Tang asked angrily.

He was tired of people stepping on Jimmie every chance they got. Jiminie had a heart of gold and as it was, that would be his undoing because what the fuck were they even supposed to make of this shit?

"Because I am the Lycan king's enforcer and King Agust is already in your pack. I just felt the energy shift. As it is, Luna Park and my king aren't exactly the best of friends. So, which will it be?

"Will you let them both turn Kiyoto upside down so when the alpha wakes up he comes back to the rubble or will you stop talking and get through the portal with me?" So, he asked and Lee Tang considered his options. 

There was a high chance that this was an attack, but then he had long learned that Lycans never sperm on their lives if they were lying. So, he was going to take that chance and hope to the goddess that they want chaos in their pack.

Because that would be a little too hard to explain.

"Fine. What about the horse?" Lee Tang asked.

"She will run home and get to the stables fine. She knows her way home, don't worry. She will be fine and no one will hurt her," So Hee said and Lee Tang sighed again. 

This woman was offering him everything on a silver platter, but then he didn't have many options at the moment, so he had to trust her. Hopefully, the woman didn't lie to him and they would be fine at the end of the day, right?

"Fine," Lee Tang said as he got off the horse, only for So Hee to pat the horse and whisper something in the horse's ears, making the horse run back home. Lee Tang watched in awe and surprise as his horse raced home.

Gods, Jiminie would have loved to see how good the horse was at racing but perhaps that was a thing for the next day or some other day no? For one, he had to make sure that Kiyoto was reduced to a mess.

"Let's go in," So Hee said as she showed Lee Tang the portal that had opened. He wasn't so trusting of the woman, so he watched her go first before he went through it too. He had never used a portal before so he was worried.

However, when he found himself and So Hee in the middle of the alpha's room, he chose to believe in So Hee. He could only hope that there wasn't chaos in there. But then again, it didn't look like the madness was about to be over.

"He is mine. Mine to love. Mine to gold. Mine to protect. And if this was your doing Jieun-a, I will kill you in ways that even your dead husband would be shocked by. Step the fuck aside," King Agusts's grouchy voice interrupted Lee Tang's line of thoughts.
