Against the World: The last Monapart

No one with the name Monapart could ever use magic. But no Monapart ever cared about it. They were always the strongest of them all. Each one stronger than the last. The world couldn't accept their existence. When the strongest Monapart died, they swore to never let another one get stronger again. Every human, beast, and demon would be killed at the mere mention of the name... But time passes, and soon, they forgot. "Curses...Curses... The fucking curses! They were the rage, the fear, and the embodiment of someone's will, so why?! Why all of them are made to kill everything?!" Said the first Monapart. But the curse in front of him didn't answer, it just stared at him smiling like always. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When he was born, he didn't cry, nor made any kind of sound in the process, but no one cared for him enough to notice. After just two days of life, he opened his eyes. An unusual thing as babies usually need at least a month to do so. His green eyes moved wildly looking at every corner of his room with deep curiosity, but not understanding anything in his view. He still couldn't understand the concept of 'thing' yet, but that changed after one month of life. After one month, he understood he was alive and most of the things in the room weren't. He still couldn't put it in words but he clearly knew that he was way different than the chair next to him. The speed of his understanding was outstanding. Sadly, in his sixth month of life, while he was asleep, flames covered his entire room and himself. It didn't take even a second and all the room turned into ashes. The baby didn't die as expected, but he was no longer in the dark room. [ Curse received: Heart offering ] . . [ Heart offering: Once per day the curse bearer will lose one of his five senses until he loses everything or dies ] . . [ Heart offering is taking effect ] . . [ Sense of hearing lost] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -At least one chapter of 1000 words a day -If you don't like the start, I guess chapter 21 is a good one to jump to but you will still feel a little lost -If you find any error, please comment on it and I will fix it -I hope you like it

You can't hide from me

Lili appeared back at the prison where Jennifer and Isabella were waiting for her.

"Did you find him?" Jennifer was getting impatient after five hours of waiting.

"Yes!" Lili gave Jennifer a map showing where Alexander is.

It was a cute colored map with a lot of drawings.

"She put him There? Why?" Isabella asked while looking at the map.

"It's because she needs him close to drain his blood"

"What?! That's disgusting"

Jennifer didn't bother explaining and started thinking about how to get there.

"Bye big sisters" Lili said goodbye but both sisters were too busy thinking and didn't hear her.

Lili didn't want to bother them so she entered the golden door. A few seconds later, the door disappeared.

Inside the white room, Lili sat on her bed and started singing.

"I wonder how long it will take him. Mother took twenty years the first time. I hope he finds it soon, it was fun..."

After she got bored of singing, she started painting on the walls. The paint and brush were gifts from Shira who created all the items inside the room in a way they wouldn't be destroyed after the door closed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alexander quickly raised his proficiency at manipulating his soul. He got an idea and wanted to test it out, but he needed more control over souls to do it.

What he wanted to do was simple, track down someone using their soul. He wanted to find the golden door via Lili's soul.

He spent around twenty hours practicing enough to see some traces of Lili's soul around the room. But he didn't want to make the little girl wait too long.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not running away. I'll come back later" He said as he broke the chains restraining his feet to the wall. He couldn't break the ones on his wrists tough.

In one jump, he reached the window and looked outside. He was really high up as he looked down and the clouds blocked the view from below.

Then, he jumped and the wind hit his face as he passed through the clouds. He could see houses, vampires, guards, and the forests surrounding the huge city.

He memorized everything while searching for Lili's soul.

Getting closer to the ground, he used natural steps on the castle walls. Slowly, the speed at which he fell lowered, and its strength dissipated.

Alexander stepped onto the ground without making a sound like a feather as if he made a light jump.

He didn't want Shira to get too mad at him so he decided to go back as fast as possible without causing problems. He used shadow steps constantly to avoid being seen.

He saw stores, houses, restaurants, and a huge amount of people everywhere.

As someone who spent his entire life in the forest or inside closed spaces, it was interesting for him seeing so many people for the first time.

After two hours of walking, he explored the entire city and made a mental map of everything while trying to track the soul he wanted to find.

He didn't find anything even after looking through the whole city. But he still needed to explore the forest.

He went out of the city by jumping the walls. Once again, inside the forest, he could move way faster with natural steps. After four hours, he finally found what he was looking for.

He went deeper into the forest and ran straight west. He climbed up a small mountain and went close to the top. Reaching the place he wanted, he punched the ground.

*Bang!*

Making a large hole, he jumped inside. He entered a big cave. Alexander took a while to explore everything inside. He had a general idea of where it was based on the traces left but he didn't know the exact location.

As expected, after an hour, he saw the golden door standing in the middle of a lake on a little island. Easily hopping on the island, he inspected the door.

It had so many beautiful details, the cravings looked like they would step out of the door.

After admiring it for a bit, Alexander grabbed the handle to open the door.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Shira was having a hard time after drinking Alexander's blood. She felt like the first time she had ever drank blood.

She was having trouble controlling her thirst and the blood she stored through the years tasted terrible now.

Shira needed to train herself all over again to get used to the thirst again. Sitting on her throne, she looked at the big door while tapping her fingers. After a few hours, she felt it was enough and decided to go get some more blood.

She quickly reached the top of Alexander's tower, but when she entered, she couldn't find him.

"He escaped?" She couldn't understand why would he do something so stupid when she warned him not to do it.

If she was in a better condition, she might have thought a little more but the thirst for blood was clouding her decisions.

*BANG*

She jumped out of the tower furiously looking for Alexander while destroying the walls in the process. She was mad and wanted to make him pay for defying her.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lili was painting the wall while humming her favorite song. She was painting a giant dog holding a puppet in its month while another person ran after him.

*Click*

She heard the sound of the handle turning and her little head turned to the side...

When Lili saw the open door, she dropped the brush and her eyes widened.

It's only been one day. She had a big clock at the side of her bed and she used it to mark the time along with a calendar.

She was used to waiting decades, centuries until someone found her. Her family has other things to do besides looking for her all day, at least that was what she believed.

Alexander entered the room while looking around.

"It's such a pretty room... Way better than my cave"

"..." She didn't say anything and stood there paralyzed.

"Sorry for taking so long to find it, I'll be faster next time"

He thought she was mad at him for taking too long.
