Against the World: The last Monapart

No one with the name Monapart could ever use magic. But no Monapart ever cared about it. They were always the strongest of them all. Each one stronger than the last. The world couldn't accept their existence. When the strongest Monapart died, they swore to never let another one get stronger again. Every human, beast, and demon would be killed at the mere mention of the name... But time passes, and soon, they forgot. "Curses...Curses... The fucking curses! They were the rage, the fear, and the embodiment of someone's will, so why?! Why all of them are made to kill everything?!" Said the first Monapart. But the curse in front of him didn't answer, it just stared at him smiling like always. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When he was born, he didn't cry, nor made any kind of sound in the process, but no one cared for him enough to notice. After just two days of life, he opened his eyes. An unusual thing as babies usually need at least a month to do so. His green eyes moved wildly looking at every corner of his room with deep curiosity, but not understanding anything in his view. He still couldn't understand the concept of 'thing' yet, but that changed after one month of life. After one month, he understood he was alive and most of the things in the room weren't. He still couldn't put it in words but he clearly knew that he was way different than the chair next to him. The speed of his understanding was outstanding. Sadly, in his sixth month of life, while he was asleep, flames covered his entire room and himself. It didn't take even a second and all the room turned into ashes. The baby didn't die as expected, but he was no longer in the dark room. [ Curse received: Heart offering ] . . [ Heart offering: Once per day the curse bearer will lose one of his five senses until he loses everything or dies ] . . [ Heart offering is taking effect ] . . [ Sense of hearing lost] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -At least one chapter of 1000 words a day -If you don't like the start, I guess chapter 21 is a good one to jump to but you will still feel a little lost -If you find any error, please comment on it and I will fix it -I hope you like it

Meeting

Lili appeared at the door of the throne room fidgeting. She wanted to properly greet her mother and tell her everything that happened but she was soo nervous.

Lili gathered courage and knocked at the giant door.

The doors slowly opened themselves and Lili could see inside. She walked on the red carpet toward Shira excited and nervous. She stopped in front of the throne.

"H-Hi mother"

"What are you doing here? Is it because of a wish?" Shira was confused to see Lili here.

"N-No. I don't have to do wishes anymore"

"What do you mean?"

"T-The room I was trapped in was destroyed and I don't have a limit to how much time I spend outside anymore"

Shira became surprised by the room's destruction. She tried it before but she couldn't even scratch it.

"And how exactly did that happen?"

"Someone destroyed it for me"

"Who?"

"H-He didn't want anyone to know about him so he told me to keep it secret"

"You can tell me, I'm your mother and he saved my daughter. I'll make sure to properly reward him"

Someone who could destroy such a thing was ridiculously powerful or had some kind of treasure. Shira wanted to know more.

"I'm sorry mother. I made a promise and I don't plan on breaking it"

"I see. If you meet him again, please tell him to come here and we will properly reward him"

They stopped talking and the room became silent. Lili stared at her mother but diverted her eyes from time to time. She looked like she wanted to say something.

"Do you have anything else to say?" Shira asked realizing her trouble.

Lili was really nervous right now, she wanted to spend some time with her mother but was afraid she was bothering her.

"C-Can we draw together like before?"

"I'm sorry sweety. I'm busy right now, I'll let you know when I'm free. Go talk to your sister, she will be happy to see you again. But don't go to Isabella's room... She's having some... Troubles"

"It's okay, I understand. Mother has a lot of stuff to do. I'll go talk to sister"

Lili was a little sad they couldn't play together like before but she knew her mother was a powerful and busy person. She could wait, she had a lot of time now.

Lili teleported in front of Jennifer's room. She knocked at the door and they opened the same way as the throne room. She entered the pink room with sparkling eyes.

She never went inside her sister's room, she had no idea what it looked like. It was a mysterious place for her.

Jennifer was sitting on her bed thinking when Lili entered the room.

"Lili?!"

Jennifer got up and hugged her.

"It's good to see you here"

She looked genuinely happy to see Lili. The sisters spent some time hugging until Lili broke out excitedly.

"You won't believe what happened!" Lili wanted to tell her the news as fast as possible.

"Haha! Calm down. If you say it too fast I might not understand"

"I'm free! I don't have to go back into the room anymore"

Jennifer's eyes widened for a split second but she quickly recovered.

"Ara, that's wonderful. Please tell me more about it"

Lili didn't waste time and told everything she said to Shira to Jennifer as well.

"It's a pity that savior of yours doesn't want to meet us. But it's okay, we should respect people's secrets" She said after Lili refused to talk about the man.

Lili was glad she understood. They started talking about a lot of different things. Jennifer promised to teach her everything she couldn't when she was trapped.

"Why can't I see Isabella? Is she sick?"

"Well, not exactly sick. But you don't need to worry, she won't die. She just needs to get used to it"

"Used to what?"

"Thirst. Some things happened and she can't drink blood anymore"

"I see..."

Lili didn't understand what thirst could do to a vampire. She never felt the need for blood. When she drank it, it was just tasty food. She didn't need to consume blood at all.

Lili said goodbye to Jennifer and teleported out of her room.

Jennifer stood there looking at the space where Lili was.

"Elizabeth! Arcade!" Jennifer screamed.

A huge man with full body armor and a girl with hollow eyes entered the room.

Jennifer gave a map to both of them.

"Go to this location and report everything you see. Be careful and don't be discovered"

The map marked the exact location of Lili's abandoned house. Arcade and Elizabeth bowed and left silently.

Now alone, Jennifer went to the room's corner and opened a passage hidden with illusion magic.

The passage led to another huge room, but the difference was that at the top corner there was a pile of dozens of bodies preserved with magic.

Jennifer wasn't interested in the bodies today. She smiled widely when she stared at the screen on the wall displaying Alexander's location.

"To think you are powerful enough to destroy something like that... Ah~ this is exciting"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lili appeared inside the abandoned house smiling happily.

She was glad to talk so much with her sister since she didn't have the time before, but was still a little sad her mother couldn't spend time with her.

She started looking for Alexander. Lili couldn't find him until she heard the sound of a hammer. She went out to the backyard and saw Alexander hammering a piece of wood in the house's warehouse.

There were a few tools scattered on the ground and a lot of wood planks pilled up on the side.

"What are you doing?"

"Huh? Lili? I didn't see you. I'm repairing the place since I'm gonna live here"

"In the warehouse?"

"Yes"

"Why not at least in the house?"

Lili wasn't planning on actually living in an abandoned house. She thought of buying a place for Alexander and sleeping in her room in the castle. But living in the warehouse was complete madness to her.
