Against the World: The last Monapart

No one with the name Monapart could ever use magic. But no Monapart ever cared about it. They were always the strongest of them all. Each one stronger than the last. The world couldn't accept their existence. When the strongest Monapart died, they swore to never let another one get stronger again. Every human, beast, and demon would be killed at the mere mention of the name... But time passes, and soon, they forgot. "Curses...Curses... The fucking curses! They were the rage, the fear, and the embodiment of someone's will, so why?! Why all of them are made to kill everything?!" Said the first Monapart. But the curse in front of him didn't answer, it just stared at him smiling like always. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When he was born, he didn't cry, nor made any kind of sound in the process, but no one cared for him enough to notice. After just two days of life, he opened his eyes. An unusual thing as babies usually need at least a month to do so. His green eyes moved wildly looking at every corner of his room with deep curiosity, but not understanding anything in his view. He still couldn't understand the concept of 'thing' yet, but that changed after one month of life. After one month, he understood he was alive and most of the things in the room weren't. He still couldn't put it in words but he clearly knew that he was way different than the chair next to him. The speed of his understanding was outstanding. Sadly, in his sixth month of life, while he was asleep, flames covered his entire room and himself. It didn't take even a second and all the room turned into ashes. The baby didn't die as expected, but he was no longer in the dark room. [ Curse received: Heart offering ] . . [ Heart offering: Once per day the curse bearer will lose one of his five senses until he loses everything or dies ] . . [ Heart offering is taking effect ] . . [ Sense of hearing lost] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -At least one chapter of 1000 words a day -If you don't like the start, I guess chapter 21 is a good one to jump to but you will still feel a little lost -If you find any error, please comment on it and I will fix it -I hope you like it

Little Quest

The village chief called them and gave an iron glove to them. He said it was hidden somewhere in the village since it was a sacred object to them.

"With this, you may be able to touch the heart. But it won't last long"

Hans and Alexander nodded and went towards the top of the mountain.

They climbed up until the snow became knee deep.

But soon, the snow disappeared and the ground was covered in ice and frosted land. The air was so thin it was difficult to breathe.

The trees around them were all white. Everything was coated in a layer of frost.

The cold was so intense that it numbed their arms and legs.

Then Alexander spotted a figure. It was really hard to see since it was white and moved very fast.

It seemed to be a deer, but it had antlers. It almost looked like a stag.

The sound it made was similar to a deer's mew.

Alexander stopped walking and waited for Hans to catch up.

They slowly approached the figure. They got closer and closer until it noticed them.

Hans was expecting the creature to run away, but instead, it slowed down its pace and came closer to them.

Alexander could hear it breathing and it was shaking as if it was freezing. It didn't look dangerous at all but he had a bad feeling about it.

"It's a reindeer. I read about them in some books" Hans slowly approached the creature.

"Don't get too close to it" Alexander felt something was off but he couldn't understand why.

"Why? It's not dangerous, right?" Hans was almost touching the animal when the ice around them cracked.

*BOOM!*

All the ice cracked at once and a huge mouth broke through the ice trying to eat them. Alexander used natural steps and in an instant, he and Hans were far away from the monster's mouth.

The monster's huge mouth completely swallowed the reindeer as it left the ice. It was enormous.

"So that's the white lizard" Alexander said while looking at the monster.

"What?!"

A few seconds later, the beast jumped completely out of the ice.

Alexander turned his attention to the reindeer which was still inside the jaws of the monster.

Its neck snapped as the monster bit into its head. Blood gushed everywhere, making it impossible to tell how many times it would continue biting.

The monster tried to swallow everything whole, but because of its size, it kept on chewing pieces of flesh and spitting them onto the ground.

As the monster chewed more and more of the dead animal, its own stomach grew larger and bigger.

Soon, the entire body of the deer was gone.

After finishing its meal, still not satisfied, the white lizard spotted the two and started running towards them.

Alexander drew his sword and pointed it at the creature.

It ran with lightning speed.

Alexander attacked without mercy.

His blade sliced through the white lizard's skull.

But the monster didn't fall and kept charging at Alexander. Its mouth opened wide revealing its fangs.

Alexander used his sword to block the mouth. Then he thrusted the blade at its stomach stabbing the creature once more.

The monster was unable to stop the blow, but instead, it turned to face the other direction and backed away.

The monster snarled. It shook its head, spilling blood on the snow. Its huge eyes looked up at Alexander. It didn't expect something so small to be so strong.

Alexander used this opportunity and struck the monster again and again. He moved his blade even faster than before. His blade cut into the monster's neck, then back out towards the monster's head.

Then suddenly, the monster stopped moving and turned its attention towards Hans.

It charged with an unbelievable speed.

"Run!" Alexander shouted but Hans wasn't fast enough to react so quickly.

The monster didn't slow down when it reached him. It attacked with its jaws wide open, it wanted to devour him whole.

Alexander used natural steps again and barely made it in time as he blocked the monster's attack.

After blocking the attack, Alexander lost balance because of the charge's huge strength. The monster took advantage of it and attacked with its tail. The tail was sharp and had a lot of blades on the tip.

Hans saw that Alexander wouldn't be able to defend it and rushed to his side while holding his shield.

The tail struck Hans' shield. The sheer strength of the attack broke his shield and sent him flying.

Hans still held his sword on his left arm as he rolled on the ground.

Alexander didn't let it go either and slashed the monster's back.

The monster hissed and attacked Alexander with its tail.

He parried the attack and then slashed the tail itself.

The tail was cut in half by alexander. He didn't waste time as he slashed the monster's belly.

His blade went through its scales and into the creature's flesh. The wound was so big that it appeared to be bleeding inside.

The white lizard tried to bite Alexander's neck, but he turned around and moved out of the way.

He watched as the monster screamed in pain and then fell down. It couldn't handle the amount of blood it lost through the fight and fainted. It would soon die even if Alexander didn't do anything.

But not wanting to risk anything, he stabbed the creature's head again.

Alexander turned his attention towards Hans and helped him up.

"You did well," he said.

Hans shook his head. "I'm sorry… I…"

Hans' right hand was completely destroyed with the shield but nothing a vampire couldn't recover from.

"Forget it," Alexander replied. "I should have been quicker."

"...Thanks"

"Now stay here, I will go get the heart"

Alexander put on the iron glove and pierced the creature's chest with his hand.

He could hear a hissing sound as he pulled the heart out.

*SSSSSSSS*

The poison on the heart was corrosive and the glove was slowly being corroded.

Alexander didn't waste time.

"Let's go. We need to get to the village, fast"

But Hans didn't answer him.

"Hans?"

*Cough!*Cough!*

He saw Hans coughing as he fell to the ground. The lizard's tail had poison on it and it probably poisoned him through the wound on his arm.
