Feng Jiu rubbed her eyes and pinched herself lightly, trying to make sure that she wasn't just day-dreaming about Dong Hua. Her heart raced, knowing that she wasn't dreaming.

She couldn't believe her eyes, the man she loved deeply, was just standing right there across the road from her.

"Is it really Dong Hua?" Feng Jiu asked herself over and over again, as she was still shocked in disbelief.

"He is always so near, yet so far." Feng Jiu sadly thought to herself while she looked at Dong Hua leave.

Out of a sudden, she noticed a man who was wearing a black hoodie and had his hood over his head, walking behind Dong Hua. The shady looking man was acting suspiciously and it appears that he was following Dong Hua.

Her sixth sense immediately tells her that something was wrong. Feng Jiu then decided to follow them to see what was going on.

She was worried about Dong Hua and she thought to herself, "better be safe than sorry."

Feng Jiu immediately grabs her food which was ready, left the restaurant, and followed them both.

----------------------------------------

Dong Hua walked towards his car, which was parked beside the office building. The car park was dark and empty as it was already late and past working hours.

The shady looking man was following closely behind Dong Hua.

Feng Jiu fastens her footsteps to get closer to them but at the same time, she was trying to be sneaky because she didn't want Dong Hua to spot her.

Just when Dong Hua was getting on to his car, the man used this chance to pull out a knife from his hoodie and dashed towards Dong Hua.

Feng Jiu noticed that the man had a knife in his hand, and that he was about to stab Dong Hua from the back.

"Watch out, Dong Hua! Look behind you!" Feng Jiu shouted loudly, without thinking.

Startled by Feng Jiu's panicky voice, Dong Hua immediately turned around and saw the man charging towards him, with a knife in his hand.

He dodged the attack by a close call and kicked the knife out of the man's hand.

Feng Jiu quickly looked around her to see if she can find anything to use to fight the attacker off. She then swiftly picked up a large tree branch and ran towards Dong Hua.

They were throwing punches at each other and it looks like Dong Hua had the upper hand so Feng Jiu just stood at a corner to watch. The attacker was then held down and restrained by Dong Hua.

It was of no surprise that the attacker was subdued in no time, as Dong Hua was well-versed in martial arts and taekwondo.

Growing up as an orphan, he learned how to fight so that he could protect himself from getting bullied. He knew that he could only rely on himself, for his own safety.

"Call the police now, Feng Jiu". Dong Hua said while pointing to Feng Jiu.

"What?! Dong Hua just called me by my name, he actually remembers me?!" Feng Jiu was momentarily stunned after hearing what Dong Hua said. After a moment of shock, she immediately took out her phone and called the police.

"You saved me again." Dong Hua said, using his usual cold voice.

Feng Jiu nervously lowered her gaze and blushed. Dong Hua was actually praising her and she kept smiling at the thought of that. She couldn't believe it.

----------------------------------------

Just before the police arrived, the attacker managed to break free from Dong Hua's grip.

Then he ran towards the knife, which was laying nearby. He swiftly picked it up and charged towards Feng Jiu.

He was trying to take her as a hostage so that he could threaten Dong Hua to let him go. Because he knew that wouldn't be able to win Dong Hua in a fight.

Dong Hua sprinted towards Feng Jiu and stood in front of her, protecting her from any harm.

Feng Jiu then quickly took the large tree branch and started hitting the attacker. He fell to his knees, whimpering in pain.

Upon hearing the police sirens approaching, the attacker used all his strength to grab the tree branch from Feng Jiu's hands.

He then pushed her really hard and Feng Jiu fell to the floor, scraping her elbows.

Before he escapes, he ran towards Dong Hua and swings the tree branch really hard at Dong Hua, dealing a huge blow to his head.

Dong Hua instantly collapsed upon the impact. He also hit his head against the hard concrete ground, in the process. Blood profusely gushed out from his head as he lay motionlessly on the ground.

"Wake up, Dong Hua. Please wake up, Dong Hua!" Help! Somebody help!" Feng Jiu cried loudly while hugging onto Dong Hua tightly, and pressing on his wound to stop the bleeding.

Her loud cries for help attracted the attention of some passersby, and they quickly ran over to check what is going on, causing the attacker to fled the scene.

The police arrived and an ambulance was called. The attacker was caught by the police shortly after as well.

Feng Jiu refused to let go of Dong Hua and insisted to go to the hospital with him. There was blood everywhere, on her hands, and clothes but she couldn't even care about that now.

Her mind was flooded with fear, and she didn't know what to do but she could only pray that Dong Hua will be okay. Feng Jiu blamed herself for picking up the tree branch.

"If only I didn't pick that tree branch up, then Dong Hua wouldn't be injured now. I was just trying to help but it seems like I'm always adding more trouble for him." Feng Jiu thought to herself.

Feng Jiu broke down and couldn't stop crying.

Please be okay, Dong Hua...
