50,000 years ago, Hell was destroyed because of too much Foul from the resentment of the souls that later turned to Soul Eaters and devoured everything in their wake, leaving nothing of Hell. The gods above in Heaven, in order to take care of the newly-died souls, created the Afterlife Department comprised of grim reapers. "AH LING!!!!" Mrs. Huo cried when she and her husband arrived in the morgue and requested for their son's body. "AH LING!!!" she cried. Her husband could only hug her from behind as he silently cried.
"Mom… dad…" Huo Ling cried as he buried his face in his hands. His soul sank on the floor as he sobbed. Yi Bing patted his back to comfort him.
Gu Xingfeng watched the Huo family's tragic reunion. He fetched them from the airport and Mrs. Huo has been crying since the airport.
"How…. How?!" Mr. Huo asked as he turned to Gu Xingfeng. "How can my child die?! He has been fine when we last seen him when we video called!" he said.
