"You... what are you doing?" Yena asked with a pale face. She swallowed her saliva when she saw the dead bird that had dried on the floor.
Seeing Yena's expression, Lucifer cleared his throat and scratched the back of his neck not itchy.
"I'm having breakfast." He said. "You go back upstairs first, Leon will bring you breakfast in a minute."
Yena didn't listen to Lucifer and got closer instead. Sure enough, she saw a pile of dried carcasses in the corner. They were like mummies, not disgusting, but very scary.
Lucifer shifted and blocked her view.
"I'll clean it up. Go upstairs."
"What is it? How do you do it--"
"I said go upstairs." Lucifer pressed coldly. Yena reflexively stepped back.
"O-okay. I'm leaving, you don't have to glare at me like that." Yena squeaked then turned around and returned to the room. what the hell, lately Lucifer can change his expression and aura quickly. Sometimes it becomes sweet and annoying, then suddenly turns cold and cynical. Does he have an alter ego?
Meanwhile elsewhere, the sun had already risen and Ansel was still frantically looking for Rumi. The girl could not be reached. He also could not report to the police because Rumi had not been missing for 24 hours.
"This girl ... one hasn't been found yet and now the other one is missing too! Were they kidnapped by a demon? Sigh!" Ansel grabbed his hair dizzy. He stopped at a convenience store to buy a thirst quencher.
While taking a drink in the refrigerator Ansel saw an eye-catching little boy hugging several large packets of snacks.
"The yogurt is out. Should I go to another shop? It's so lazy. What else do the girl likes besides Yogurt, huh?" The boy seemed to be furrowing his brows in confusion. He stands out because his appearance is different from ordinary Korean children. The boy's skin was dark and his long hair was braided in small braids.
If his face didn't look very handsome then Ansel would think he was a girl.
"Yogurt? If she likes yogurt then I think she will like milk too. The two are not much different," said Ansel reflexively.
"Oh? Really? All right, I'll just get some milk." The boy without glancing at Ansel immediately obeyed. He reached out his hand to take the bottled milk.
"But I think he will prefer soy milk," said Ansel again. The boy's hand immediately turned on the bottom shelf and grabbed a few bottles of soy milk.
"Thank you. finally, my work is done. I've already bought a complete set, that rabid snake has no reason to be angry anymore." The boy said as he walked over to the counter.
Ansel looked at him in surprise. The child accepts people's input. He was confused as to why he suddenly became a know-it-all. Ansel only remembers that Yena likes yogurt, and she also likes soy milk.
Ansel felt stupid. Just because Yena likes it doesn't mean that other people also like it. What if because of him the child got angry? Should not. Ansel immediately rushed to the counter but the boy was already out.
Ansel hastily paid for his drink and rushed after the boy who had walked a long way.
"Kid! Wait! Ansel chased after him. However, the boy had already turned a corner and disappeared behind the building. When Ansel caught up with him, he was gone.
"Oh my God. He's so fast." Ansel was a little breathless.
"Eh?" He suddenly widened his pupils when he saw something abnormal.
There was a crow flying with a shopping bag at his feet.
Ansel widened his eyes even more, not believing what he was seeing.
"That...." Ansel rushed after it. However, the crow flew higher and higher and eventually disappeared out of nowhere.
"What the hell is that?" Ansel frowned dizzy. Was it because he was too tired that he was hallucinating?
Kwakk Kwakk
Leon flapped his wings faster.
"What does that human want to follow me? Huh! I almost got caught!"
The crow swerved and then after a while low.
"Kwakk! Lucifer! Yena! Here's your meal!" He was screaming out the window. However, after several calls, no one responded. There was a sound of water coming from the bathroom, it looked like Yena was taking a shower. Leon hung his food outside the window and left.
Byurrr
The last splash almost froze Yena's body.
"Huhuu so cold!" Yena shivered. Her hand reached out to take the towel in but only the empty wind she held.
"Eh?" The girl looked up and saw that the dresser where she used to put towels and clothes -- empty.
"Oh my...." She slapped her forehead in annoyance. He forgot her clothes and towel outside. How about this? Is Lucifer in the room?
Yena peeked out. No one. The girl sneaked out and grabbed her towel which was neatly folded on the bed.
Looks like Lucifer is still busy downstairs. Yena dried herself and put her clothes on there.
"Brrr, it's so cold. I regret taking a shower so early." Yena parrot while drying her hair with a towel.
Yena saw the sun shining brightly outside. But why is the air still this cold?
"Eh...?" Yena, who had just looked out the window, was stunned, feeling something strange. She looked back at the window and now his face was completely frozen.
Like a horror scene, Lucifer stuck outside the window like a big lizard and stared straight at Yena with his eyes wide open.
For a moment they looked at each other in shock until a sharp scream escaped Yena's throat.
"Kyaa!!!"
maybe because of the effect of Yena's scream or because of supporting Lucifer's heavy body the window glass suddenly cracked and shattered, making Lucifer who was attached to him fall.
Brakkkk
Bughh!
"You! How long have you been there, huh?!" Yena pointed at Lucifer furiously.
The man got up with a limp. Luckily he wasn't hurt, only his hand was slightly scratched.
"I didn't see anything. Really didn't see anything." He said, his face completely flat but also tense.
Of course, Yena didn't believe it. She pointed at the man fiercely, "Liar! You pervert! Tell me honestly what did you see?!"
"I told you I didn't see anything. Really didn't see--"
Test
Red liquid dripped from Lucifer's nose. Yena's face turned red.
"Why a nosebleed? Said you didn't see anything!"
"Why nosebleed of course because I just fell. Can't you see?" said Lucifer. He walked past Yena with a stiff body. With his appearance like that of course how could Yena believe it if he didn't see anything?
The girl's face alternated between red and blue. Angry and embarrassed.
"My fate is really bad. Even a snake dared to harass me." Yena muttered in an almost crying tone. Her eyes are puffy. It seemed like she was going to cry out of embarrassment.
Lucifer who was treating his wound looked at her with his mouth open.
"Sorry. I didn't do it on purpose either. Leon left the food outside the window. So I went to get it." Lucifer cleared his throat slightly, feeling guilty.
Seeing Yena still frowning, Lucifer said again, "I didn't take any chances. your body is really ugly anyway, so I wasn't interested and just closed my eyes."
Lucifer thought Yena would be better after hearing that, but the girl's eyes lit up even more and her face grew even redder.
She looked at Lucifer sharply.
"What do you say?"
