Chapter 11 Unrest
"Just believe it Senior Azure it is the truth but I don't think I can repeat this in the near future, I can feel the after effect of cultivating this fast while moving the energy without really having a true base for it" Says Nie to azure while touching his left arm. "I know it is the truth, I was just shocked young Nie" Azure says while entering his body again. "Mhm it truly did some damage but nothing that you can't fix with a good amount of rest and medicine".
Nie only agrees and looks down onto the corpse of the Ruler and senses a strange energy coming from it. //What is that?// He asks himself while slowly walking down towards it. He touches the bloodied fur and searches for the origin of the strange Energy he feels. //Azure do you know what this energy could be ? //.
//Yes it is, probably what you're feeling right now is the beast core, normally you wouldn't feel it, but because this wolf was a Ruler you can feel it//says Azure to Nie while he is searching for it through Nie´s eyes. // Cool, and could this Beast Core be beneficial for me ? //. //Yes it can be beneficial if you were in a higher Realm but now it would only cause your trouble because all the Beasts of this Forest can feel this core and they want to devour it.
// Nie listens carefully and can´t stop himself from sighing when he hears the last words and asks // Why? Could it be that it would make them a Ruler if they devour his Beast Core ? // // You are right young Nie so I would give you the small suggestion to leave this place as quickly as possible// Says Azure to Nie but it seems Nie is ignoring his words while he looks towards the Cave entrance and walks towards it.
// Young Nie why are you not leaving ? This place will soon be filled with all kind of different beasts fighting for the Beast Core, it will end in a slaughter and your power level will not be enough to save you.// Nie shrugs at these words and says in his mind towards Azure// Don´t worry I know that, but I also know that in this cave there should still be some healthy Wolf Nose Herbs. I need them for my task and to progress in the Clan, and maybe I will see a suitable Beast that I can Tame for myself// Afterwards Nie just walks smiling in the Cave and Azure sighs.
//This single fight already gave him this much Courage and changed his weak personality. I hoped for that but I also hope that his core will stay the same// Azure says to himself while looking at Nie´s soul. Nie passed through the tunnels in the cave and only a few moments later he arrived at the corpse of a female wolf// She may be already dead a long time but I still can feel her intimidating Aura coming from her.
She probably was quite Strong to before she died but now she is nothing more than a lifeless body, left alone to rot away or to be food for other beasts// a small tear begins to fall down from Nie´s cheek while he thinks about that. //But that is the law of this world the weak die while the Strong live.// "Sigh… Azure does she have a Special Beast core too ? and if not can I use it for something ?" Nie says out loud while touching the white Fur of the Wolf.
Azure comes out of Nies body and looks at the Female Wolf " No, she doesn't have a special core she has just a Normal Beast Core of the Peak Vitaly Stage. She probably had a stronger one but as time passed did some energy left the Core and some went to the little pups. *sigh* This Core you can use the Wild Energy in it to quicken your process but this energy is quite impure so I would not use it if I were you."
"Is there no other way Senior Azure ?" Nie ask while sighing because he hoped to use it to quicken his Cultivation but it seems it would do him no good if he were to use it because of the risk to have impure energy in him. "Yes, there is. If you had some Herbs and other ingredients you could create some lesser Pills that could help you"
Nie begins to smile but only for a moment because he realized something" But doesn´t the pills give me impurities like the Healing pills ? Wouldn't that be just counter productive ?" He smiles as he Hears Nie words " So you learned, yes normally it would but not if you create special pills that are for that. If you give me some Wolf Nose Herb, Eclipse Mushrooms, Blood of a wolf demon Beast and a beast Core of a Wolf then I can create the 100 Wolf Tempering Pill, it will temper your body with the might of 100 Wolfs while not leaving any impurities behind"
Nies smile comes back and even his eyes begin to shine" Nice and if I am right somewhere there should still be some Wolf Nose herb so I only need to find Eclipse Mushrooms" he formed with his left hand a fist and searched the body of the wolf to find the Core. A few moments later he finds it and takes it out and uses a vein lying around to make a rope and bind it to him.
While he searched the Female wolf's body for the core he found a passage in the Wall that leads deeper into the cave and walks towards it after he got the core. He enters it and follows it for a few minutes, while he is getting deeper into the passages he notices that there is an air flow coming towards him.
// Another exit ?// he asks himself and runs faster and only a few minutes later he notices a small at the end. The closer he comes the brighter it becomes and when he left the passage he was blinded by the light. A few seconds later his eyes got used to the light and he looks around and what he sees shocks him.
He is Surrounded by a field full with Wolf Nose Herb and some others. At that he sees a network of veins at the roof that protects it from the outside but still lets light and air into this secret herb garden. "I think I hit the jackpot. Am I right Senior Azure ?" Ask Nie // It seems like it, but there is no Eclipse Mushroom// Nie gets discourage by that because he hoped that here would be some Eclipse Mushroom so he didn't have to search for it but it seems his luck is not this great. "At least I have all the Wolf Heart Herbs I need for the Task, only the Gray Eye Herb is left, is there any here Azure ?" Nie asks while he is searching for it.
//Yes there are some close by only 20 meters to your left// Nie nods and walks towards them and collects them too//Now I only need to find the Eclipse Mushroom and collect the blood of the Ruler outside. I hope there aren't any beasts there yet// Nie checks if he has everything that he needs and leaves the herb garden quickly afterwards.
He arrived at the Chamber where the wolf is lying and listen to all sounds "No sounds are coming from the outside so maybe there are no new beasts yet" says Nie with a relieved expression and continues to pass through all tunnels until he arrives at the Entrance and see the giant Rulers body lying there and no other Beasts close by. //Puh my luck is still somewhat working// Nie steps closer towards the Ruler and takes out a drink sachet and holds it at one of the wounds to fill it with blood.
While he fills it with blood he begins to hear the sounds of some beast growling or howling.// Oh no.. they are coming// he looks at the sachet and sees that it is barley ¼ filled. // A bit more just a bit more come on//He prays in his mind and waits until it's filled to ½ and he hears that the sounds are closer than before and more. //That is enough and now run// he tells himself and begins to run and leaves the pit, only a few moments later after he disappeared behind the trees did a beast come out and jumped down.
Nie runs as fast as he can and already had a great distance between him and the pit but he still could hear the sounds of the other beasts fighting as close as they would be right next to him. A while later he finally arrives back at the end of the forest and gets met by some People in Full Armor and ready to battle, some of their weapons pointed at him "Rest, it is one of our kids" The Warriors Lower their weapons and the Person that called out comes towards Nie, is Elder Li.
" Young one in which area of the Forest were you when the unrest happened and how did you get so injured ?" Nie looks up to Elder Li and says " Junior was at the Area where a Giant Wolf was lying dead, shortly after I heard growling and howling from all direction and I ran, and while I was running I got injured by some stray beast but somehow managed to escape Elder Li."
Elder Li looks at him and is still for a moment but shortly after he raised his Voice that everyone could hear it" Warriors listen, the kid gave me valuable Information. The Ruler of the Southern Area of the Wild Ring is Death, that means all the wild Beast are now Fighting for its Ruler Core." All the Warriors faces suddenly changed from a concerned expression to a calmed down expression.
When Elder Li saw that he smiled but still had a serious tone in his voice." But don't Rest it may be not a Beast ascending beyond the Realm of Body Forging but a New ruler still can mean chaos so I want you all to patrol the Borders" Then he looks at Warriors that are dressed in similar clothing as Commander Jiang and says "The Elites shall get closer to the Area where the Southern Ruler once lived and observe the fighting and If the beast that is winning is a Bird or a Bear kill it, understood ?"
All the Warriors the Common and the Elites yell in union to show that they understood it and are ready to go. The Elder just nods afterwards and the Warriors begin to move to their positions while the Elites run into the Forest. Afterwards Elder Ji look towards Nie and says" You're the Young Nie right ?"
Nie nods and says" Yes Elder Ji I am Nie. Does Elder Ji need something from me if not then I would like to go to the infirmary to get my wound treated" Elder Ji looks at Nie carefully and then smiles " Then I won´t hold you here for long, I just wanted to say to you that the Information that you brought us was quite crucial for us because now we know that it is not a Beast ascending beyond the Body Forging period which would mean that the whole Wild ring would fall in an even greater chaos than now" Nie smiles and can´t stop himself from asking
" Elder Ji, you are talking about ascending beyond the Body Forging Period. Which level would that be ?" Elder Ji laughs for a moment and continues to smile after he hears the question" Normally people on your level wouldn't know it so that they can focus on their foundations but because of your Contribution, I will tell you which level it is."
" It's the Inner Qi Realm, in this realm all the qi that was absorbed in your body in the Stage before it and all the qi that hidden itself in the Vitality Period and Strengthening period will fuse together and slowly build up in you. Even if there is only one single breakthrough between them can a Person in the Inner qi Realm kill one in the Peak of Body forging without breaking out a sweat."
Nie can´t believe his hears when he hears the last few words and begins to fantasies about the moment when he reaches that level but he quickly collects himself because even if this stage has that much power it will be still quite far away from Xerxes strength level.
"Thank you Elder Ji for this information, this young one will work hard to reach this level one day and bring honor to the Clan." he says and bows for a moment and leaves for the infirmary. Shortly after Nie arrives at the Infirmary and sees that already in front of it are tens of injured people but they are no warriors but kids.
// Did we cause that ? were all of them in the Forest ?// Nie´s hearts get filled with guilt and fear. What if they find out that he was with the person that killed the Ruler and caused the Unrest in the Forest. He walks towards one of the injured ones and wants to ask them what happened but before he could even reach him someone push him away
" Out of the way, Meatball" Says the one who pushed him away. The one who pushed him away is the Descendant that was at the assembly yesterday and mocked him and the Other ones that joined through the Test. He is wearing the same outfit as before it is just filled with holes and dirty. He kneels down towards the injured person.
"I am sorry Senior Qian because I and the other First years were so weak we couldn´t punish the other Clans for their act of stealing in our market. The injured person readjusts his position while sitting on the ground and looks towards the descendants "It is not your fault Junior Zou who would have known that the Xióng & Yīng Clan Members would Team up on us and that even one of the Young Masters of the Yīng Clan was there."
Láng Qian sighs for a moment and looks down while forming a fist" Who would have known that he is that strong. He is only 9 Years old but is on the same level as me the Marrow Cleansing Period *sigh* and I thought I was already talented in reaching the second Minor Period of the Vitality Period while being 12 Years."
He looks towards the Sky and then towards Láng Zou "So don't give you or the other First years the fault of us losing" Láng Zou nods "Understood Senior Qian, but now let me change your bandages " Láng Zou says while moving his hands towards the bandages to remove them. Láng Qian just nods and lets him do it while looking towards Nie.
"Mhm you are an Outsider am I right ?... you heard our conversation so remember it if you ever meet a Person Called Yīng Xuefeng then run. He is not someone that you can handle" Nie smiles and cups his hands together and bows" Thanks for the advice Senior I will remember it"
