Shram right now, is traveling.

It's been a days, since the results of the scan came.

There are indeed humans left, as well as animals. And unfortunately, monsters.

The humans though, have reverted back into the dark age. The approximate number of humans still reached millions, yet their civilizations or camps is separated, just like how you see things are when you watch zombie themed movies.

A lone human found companions, companions became a group and those group became a village or a camp.

The nearest one he can find, is off the coast of the baltic sea, where the old prussians stood before the crusades of the the 13th century. He also discovered where he found himself, it was on the island of gotland.

Whats with the sudden history lessons? No reason, Shram just recalled it as he was travelling. Aside from his hobby of reading novels, history also fascinated him. In fact he is actually considering the path of a historian, either that or a novelist/author.

Getting back, he found waking up on gotland weird, as the tower was on the pacific. The distance itself was incredibly far, what on earth happened?

But again, nothing will happen even if he shouted at the sky a hundred times, so he just quietly started traveling.

According to the scan the nearest camps or villages are in riga, where the former archbishopric stood, bordering the livonian order of knights. If his calculations are right, he is currently in the Lithuanian borders, the modern Lithuania, so it should take long for him to travel there.

The sound of a strawberry milk box getting thrown was heard.

"Who's there?"

The strawberry milk hit nothing but the wall unfortunately, and it was just another box of half empty strawberry milk wasted.

"Show yourself. I know you've been following me since I reached the coast this morning."

Shram stated, but he didn't unsheathe his sword, or even intend to do so.

Because beyond the wall of a ruined building, a kid, a little girl started to come out of hiding.

With a teary eyes and trembling body she started walking out from her hiding spot.

"Uuu...."

The teary eyed girl is now looking at him, terrified and about to cry.

–Now this is troublesome.

He thought the one following him was some kind of goblin or a small monster because of it's presence.

But it's a crying little girl. Wait no.

That ears... She's of elven descent??

That explains her presence. Among the monsters that started appearing on earth, humanoid races appeared too, their worlds destroyed by faild quests, they hope to find better lives by migrating on another one.

However as humans was to other humans, homosapient xenophobic tendencies we're strong, specially before when the humanity is on the verge of ruins. Good thing there were groups that sought to protect them. Now where were we? Right, on how to deal with the elven girl.

Shram opened the shop and bought some stuff. He sat down to be on the same level with the kid.

"Hey kid, I'm sorry for scaring you. Here's an apple"

He said as he hold his hand out, trying to reconcile with the kid.

The kid, who was crying silently is not moving.

Shram, or the <Foolish Hero from the Ruins> doesn't know how to deal with kids.
