chapter 7: the raid on the hilichurl camp.

2 pm.

the hilichurl camp (outside of the city of Mondstadt).

We had arrived at the hilichurl camp as I had started scanning the area while crouched down and looked as I saw one of the hilichurl's on the lookout tower observing the camp.

'you ready aden.' Amber had whispered to me as I nodded and slowly walked over there silently approaching the area with my knife in hand and ready.

'Yeah.' I replied as I had two options in mind, option 1 was the stealthy option while the other option was to go in guns blazing, but unfortunately I don't have a gun so a knife could come in handy.

'Fire when ready Amber.' I ordered as she nodded and took the shot as the first arrow she fired impacted the hilichurl on the lookout tower which set him a light and started to cause the now burning hilichurl to start screaming as it resulted in the other 2 hilichurl's to take notice and get alerted in the process.

And as soon as me and aether saw the 2 hilichurl's moving towards us, we started to put them down and murder them very quickly.

And just as we were happy to see the area get cleared of any hilichurl activity, the one hilichurl (who Amber had just shot) started to get up and look at the 3 of us as if he was ready for round 2, a second round that did not come when the lookout tower started to collapse on top of him and kill him instantly.

'Heh, nothing to it... unless you want to count the hilichurl who was killed by the collapse of that tower, though I've gotta say, you surprised me a little with your moves there... Thanks for the backup. How'd it feel?' she said as she smiled at us and thanked us while surprised at the work we just did on the 2 hilichurl's.

'Like starting violence with timing.' I responded as Amber laughed while Aether was next to ask that question, 'I bearly broke a sweat.' witch paimon followed with, 'Now that you mention it, how is it the hilichurl's ended up here? These creatures don't seem like the type to set up camp so close to cities like this.' she said in question as I started to guess as well.

'Exactly. It's more normal for them to be much further out in the wilderness, but because the dragon storm terror has been around a lot more recently, our orchards have been destroyed and the local market has been affected as well' Amber asked as she noticed it as well.

'When the storms hit, we usually end up with at least a few injuries, so the Knights of Favonius have been tied up doing the best they can to defend the area.' Amber explained to us as we were listening in to what had happened.

'So these annoying creatures have been getting closer and closer to the city?' paimon asked Amber as she started to nod 'Exactly. That said, clearing up this camp helped make the area a little bit safer.' after hearing her say the word safer, I started to smile as I looked at the chest over there and walked to it so I could see what was inside while Amber and the others were busy.

'Come with me! A responsible Knight must make sure to see you to the city safely.' she said as she looked at me and nodded seeing that i was busy with the chest.
