Chapter 15: Anger for the traitor
Those 5 people in cloaks were just standing still. As they stood stagnant, mist started appearing from the trees, which eventually covered the whole area
Floyde couldn't see anything nor do anything, but he could hear someone laughing from the distance.
Floyde felt an ominous feeling which caused his heart to pound quickly. Floyde stood fearfully as sweat trickled down his brows. He took a step back to look around, but all he could see was nothing but fog.
Floyde closed his eyes and started breathing in sync with the air. However, doing that he could see something with his eyes closed. He saw glowing lights; there were 5 in front of him that were black, and by his side was purple.
As Floyde focused on the lights, a stiff voice resounded from the front of him. "Long time no see, Luis."
"Th-That can't be!" Luis yelled with incredulity. Floyde's eyes were still closed, but as Luis talked, so did the purple light move.
Heavy pressure emerged from the purple light and it grew brighter. The pressure weighed like an elephant but then it slowly dissapeared.
"Disperse," Luis muttered softly. As Floyde opened his eyes, he saw the person in the middle of the 5 walking towards them as soon the mist vanished. However, Floyde glanced at Luis, he was clenching his fists, his head was lowered, his hair covering his face. Then a dark yellow aura started appearing around his body.
The person walking slowly approached them, then he took off his hood. He looked as the same age as Luis. He had short red hair, his face had scars on the side. He was brown-eyed, his nose and brows were sharp. He had tanned skin. His face was scary; it was like looking at an experienced person who went to multiple battles.
"Sigh, I still remember the day when your girl offered herself to me in bed," the guy said referring to Luis.
Suddenly, Luis vanished leaving only his silhouette behind flickering small currents. He then appeared in front of the guy who had his hood off and in an instant Luis' hand was burning, or rather, he ignited flames from his hand. And with full force, he punched the guy on the chest.
"BANG!!"
As he punched the guy, Luis yelled resentfully, "Fuck you Cleve, you fucking bastard!"
Cleve was punched intensely. He had been flown back meters away, cutting down many trees. But, Luis didn't stop there. As Cleve was still crashing into trees, Luis then again appeared in front of him immediately. He punched him a couple more times. The fire in his hands now added lightning around it.
"YOU FUCKING TRAITOR!!" Luis yelled with fury, his face was red in rage, veins pulsing anywhere it could be. His eyes were focused on one thing, knocking the shit out of Cleve.
The flames mixed with lightning in Luis' hands were gradually getting bigger and bigger, that the fiery cloak of Cleve was leaving trails of burning cloth that had eventually touched the trees. The trees started to slowly burn apart; leaves falling down, affecting other trees.
It had only been seconds since they've encountered the people in white and Luis was already busy in his own world.
Floyde was still standing, left alone. But then the 4 persons who were left circled around Floyde. Next, a magic circle appeared on the ground where Floyde stood.
Floyde tried to get out, but there was an invisible force blocking the way. He was now caged from the magic circle that was placed.
"Fuck you! Let me out of here!" Floyde yelled, banging the invisible barrier with his hands.
"He can't do magic right?" muttered one from the cloaks.
"What are the chances? Everyone in this area couldn't do magic," another person answered from the cloaks.
"I guess your right... Even if he could do magic, he should be at the academy and not here."
"Haha. Again this year, the academy wasn't able to have many strong magicians. But those 5 prodigies were a sight to behold," another person muttered in awe from the cloaks.
Floyde heard everything, and one thing caught his attention, "Everyone in this area couldn't do magic." He wasn't sure by what they meant by prodigies and it wasn't something Floyde wanted to know.
Floyde opened his hand, he accepted the mana in the air and a red magic circle formed. A small spark came out.
But just when Floyde was about to make his hand look like a torch, somebody crashed into his barrier.
"Boom!"
A loud crash echoed the forest and a person panting could be heard.
Dust filled everyone's vision, and those person who were fighting, finally came into view.
You could see Cleve on the side of Floyde. The barrier gave support to Cleve for him to lean back. If others might see him, they would say he's just sitting down, but he is actually leaning on the invisible barrier.
Floyde saw Cleve coughing blood from his mouth that didn't think would cease to stop. You could see Luis standing from where he just punched Cleve.
Luis was definitely not in the mood to sit back and relax. His white cloak was unscathed and his face looked calm. His long yellow hair was waving in the air, not to mention the yellow aura he was releasing. Luis' pupils could not be seen. His eyes were just glowing to a bright blue color with small bolts of lightning flickering by the sides.
The silhouette of Luis again could be seen for a second and he immediately appeared infront of Cleve. A burning trail of lightning appeared from where Luis was just at until to Cleve.
Floyde was terrified by the sight he just saw. Cleve was gravely injured and Luis didn't seem to stop punching him.
The top of Cleve's cloak was burnt open and his chest was burnt too. He stood up and walked slowly to Luis—he walked like a zombie,—staggering as he continued.
He stopped midway and silently mumbled, "I'm sorry, Luis." The forest stood silent, tears slowly dripped from the eyes of Luis.
The legs of Cleve were shaking tremendously. Eventually, he fell. Luis caught Cleve on time just when he was about to reach the ground.
"Why, Cleve? Why?" Luis asked tearfully.
Cleve hugged Luis as he was grabbed. He patted Luis' back and he widely wrapped his entire arms on the body of Luis tightly.
"It's because your girl was tasty." Cleve laughed madly as he drank something he took from his cloak.
Floyde shifltly glanced around him and saw the rest of the persons in the white cloak drink the same thing as Cleve.
Kaboom! - Boom! -
"BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!"
One by one, loud violent sounds could be heard; It was ear piercing. Floyde was strongly knocked back to the tree; the barrier couldn't resist the pressure. Suddenly, Floyde turned blind, deaf, disoriented for a few seconds until he could see smoke pouring out.
