Yakushi High Vs. Seido High 3

The Stadium was in shock and there was utter silence in the field for a while before the audience burst to cheer for Yakushi.

"It's Gone!"

"Let's Go!"

"Wow!"

Cheered the audience.

"Rei has hit a home run in the 1st inning. Yakushi is on a roll but it's not going so well for Seido", said the announcer.

As the audience cheered, Rei, Mishima, and Raichi all reached the home plate.

The Yakushi Dugout, greeted them happily as they came back.

Furuya's head buzzed, and his heartbeat got faster seeing the three of them touch the home plate.

"2 More Outs!", yelled Sawamura from the left field.

Hearing Sawamura's voice, Furuya calmed down and pitched. He struck out Ryou and Abe who came to bat next.

"3 Outs! Change!", yelled the umpire.

In Yakushi's Dugout.

'Hahaha…We will be taking this win Kataoka and going to Koshien', thought Raizou snickering as he saw the score.

"I don't know what you're thinking but from your expression, I can tell it's probably something stupid. Anyways don't get your hopes up too much it's only the 1st inning", said Sanada leaving Raizou with his shattered hopes.

Meanwhile, in Seido Dugout, the atmosphere was tense.

"What are you guys doing out there? Especially you Furuya what's happening to you on the mound", questioned Kataoka glaring at the players.

Hearing this Furuya clenched his fists in frustration. 'I can do better'. He remembered the moment Ochihai coach told him he could the best ace.

'This is a test, Furuya. Overcome games and situations like this and get even better as a pitcher', thought Miyuki seeing Furuya's expression.

Back on the Stadium's Field.

2nd Inning, Top started. Seido was batting.

"Seido's starting this inning with MIYUKI KAZUYA. Will Seido's lineup finally hit some runs?", said the announcer.

Seido's dugout cheered for Miyuki as he walked to the batter's box.

'As expected of Miyuki, his presence in the batter's box is heavy, thought Rei as he looked at Miyuki.

'Let's see how you strike me out. Sa…Bring it on, Rei-kun' Miyuki got into his position.

'Since he knows most all of my previous pitches. How about we try something new', thought Rei as he signaled Kazuma something.

Kazuma nodded and changed his mitt's position.

'Take this', thought Rei as he pitched his rising fastball.

The ball went straight as it rose coming near the mitt.

Miyuki was caught off guard seeing this new pitch. He couldn't react to it since the ball's speed was at least 155 KM.

Everyone in Seido's dugout was shocked seeing Rei's new pitch including Kataoka and Ochihai coach. Even Chris, Tetsuya, and Ryosuke, who were in the audience were shocked seeing the pitch.

"Strike!", said the Umpire.

Smirking Rei threw the same pitch to the inside and yet Miyuki didn't react to it.

"Strike!", said the umpire.

'Why can't I get a read on it? It's fast but since the ball rises it makes it more difficult to hit it. I desperately need a run now since we are behind by 4 runs already', Miyuki clicked his tongue.

Rei pitched a gyroball next.

Miyuki who was expecting another rising fastball was struck out. 'W-what?'

Since Gyroball is a type of fastball the ball might look similar to a rising fastball when pitched.

"Miyuki Kazuya goes back to the dugout without being able to score a run for his team", said the announcer.

As Miyuki walked back to the dugout, he clenched his jaw frustrated. 'This fight we have to win no matter what'.

In Seido Dugout.

"That new pitch how was it?", asked Kataoka.

"It was hard to get a read on it. Rei already had a lethal fastball but now his new pitch which rises is even more deadly", said Miyuki putting his bat back in the rack and sitting on the bench.

"I think it was their trump card that they used on Miyuki-senpai", said Toujou.

"Does that mean that brat was taking it easy so far!", said Kuramochi. 'Unbelievable, how can he be like that while our ace is going all out'.

"Let me go give him a piece of my mind", said Kuramochi as he was about to stomp off to Yakushi's Dugout.

"Kuramochi senpai no if you go, you're going to create a mess", said Haruichi as he held back Kuramochi by locking him in his arms.

"Leave it to me, Miyuki-Kun", said Maezono as he got up ready for his turn.

Miyuki nodded. 'Better hope he doesn't throw that fastball again'.

"AWESOME!! How was that pitch Miyuki-senpai? How does it work? Can I learn it?", Sawamura bombarded Miyuki with questions. When he saw Rei pitch it, he had twinkles in his eyes.

"You can't pitch it yet. Hone your other pitches first", said Miyuki as he pried Sawamura's face off of him.

Sawamura went into his depressive corner and sat there sulking.

'I'm surprised he can still be loud sensing the atmosphere in this dugout', Miyuki sighed as he looked at him.

"Strike!", the sound was heard and before Miyuki even knew it Maezono was back in the dugout depressed.

"I thought you said you got my back", said Miyuki glaring at him.

"Next time!", said Maezono giving him a thumbs up.

Miyuki scoffed and got back to dealing with Sawamura.

Back in the Field.

Shirasu attempted a bunt but failed.

"3 Outs! Change!", said the umpire.

Yakushi's Dugout.

"oy…oy…oy…we scored 4 runs and Rei didn't let them score any further. Isn't this going great?", said Sanada surprised.

"Yeah…if it was the old us, we wouldn't have even scored yet", remarked Yuu.

"You don't have to say it like that! That's an insult to my training", said Raizou.

"What are you talking about? We scored because of me and my batting. KEHAHAHA…", said Raichi swinging his imaginary bat.

"Ah…umm", said Sanada.

"What is that? Reply properly!", said Raichi.

"Can we get ready for batting and stop this nonsense", said Rei smiling at them.

The players shuddered to see the devil's smile.

"I know I was telling them to stop but they don't even listen to their coach. Only you're the sensible one in this team Rei", said Raizou putting his arm around Rei.

"Sure", said Rei ignoring him.

'This rude bastard', thought Raizou feeling humiliated.

All the players snickered witnessing this scene.
