Chapter 59

"How can you let this happen? This is so basic and I expect more from a professional like you." Keith raised his voice as he addressed the architects and interior designer of the new hotel and resort project he is handling.

It was an island resort intended to cater only to the rich population. They will offer a private villa as the accommodation, ranging from one bedroom to five bedrooms inclusive of a spacious living room and dining where the in house chefs can personally cook for the guests. It will also have a private indoor or an outdoor pool facing the clear blue sea. It was the perfect honeymoon destination.

It was also supposed to be a floor to ceiling glass window facing the sea but instead one of the rookie architects made it into a sliding door with nothing but the sea in front once you open it. They made use of the mistake and proposed to use the door as an extension to have a hammock area or a sitting area facing the west so the guests can have a nice sunset viewing area. However, they forgot to update it or rather haven't completed the update on the plans.

"How soon can you update the design?" Keith asked, frowning as if ready to spit fire if their answer was not what he expected.

"Will submit it to you Sir in two days." The head architect bravely answered. He was older than Keith by about five years but he still trembled while talking to the younger Alpha. Keith aura is already intimidating coupled by his strong pheromones and each one of them cower in fear. Furthermore, it seems the president is in a rush which added fuel to their agitation.

"One day. Finish it in one day." Keith responded in his intimidating voice.

"But Sir." The head architect responded. He then turned to Dana for help.

Dana saw the head architect's cry for help but she doesn't know how to deal with this as well. Her boss is eager to go back home and the two days the head architect is asking meant an extension on their stay here which is contradicting the president's plan.

"Fine. Two days, but try to do the changes as fast as you could. This time I won't accept any more mistakes." Keith said with a hint of a threat. His trip is getting extended by a day and it's making him frustrated. "You can all go now." Keith said, dismissing everyone. Dana left with them to discuss other things.

Martin watched the whole thing on the side and was surprised at how Keith has been acting. Keith is a very good businessman, he can be strict but he is fair at the same time. This small hiccup in the plan should be nothing to him. Keith is used to having business trips and has never been this persistent to finish everything to go back home, guess being married really changes a person.

"How did you know?" Martin couldn't help but asked.

"Know what?" Keith replied, confused at his friend's question. He's still thinking about the additional day to his business trip that he might have missed what Martin was saying.

"I mean how did you know Alex is pregnant. I've been curious about that since even your wife was surprised about it." Martin said as he stood up from the couch and headed to the balcony where Keith is standing and staring at the vast sea.

"I had my suspicions afterall I knotted him on the night we bonded. An Alpha knotting an Omega in heat without protection would surely result in pregnancy." Keith explained as he leaned on the handrail of the balustrade.

"So why didn't you tell him about your hunch?" Martin asked and leaned on the handrail as well.

Keith sighed. It's been bugging him as well. Will Alex be okay had he told him about his suspicions? He thought Alex would be happy once he learned about the pregnancy they are married after all and a bonded pair at that. He did not expect Alex to be distant and detached after hearing about the pregnancy news.

"How is he now?" Keith asked instead of answering his friend's question.

"He had lunch outside with Chloe and Dan." Martin reported. Colin has informed him about it earlier.

"Why is he eating out? Sebastian did not prepare his food?" Keith worriedly asked.

"Common man, he just went out with friends. Stop worrying too much, besides Colin went with them and of course the same goes for the others." Martin was talking about the other member of Alex Andersen's security detail. Aside from Colin who is personally guarding Alex, there are also four to six members of his team scattered around the Omega. "Don't worry too much about your wife."

"I don't know Martin. Maybe when you finally get married yourself you'll understand how I feel." Keith knew Martin was right, what could happen to Alex when he's just at the office and at home, surrounded by a team of reliable bodyguards. Still he couldn't help but worry about the Omega, Alex has already occupied his whole world and he couldn't imagine his life without him anymore.

"I want some caffeine after a nice meal. You guys up for a cup of coffee or some blended drinks? My treat." Chloe offered as she wiped her mouth with a napkin. They just finished their meal.

"I'm in. Let's have coffee. I barely swallowed my food, I couldn't concentrate on it because of Dwight's presence." Dan complained as he glanced at the direction of where the Alpha was sitting a while ago.

"Don't mind him. He's notorious for being a pervert but I doubt he will do something in a public place like this. Besides, the handsome guy over there is with us." Chloe said, giving Colin her sexiest smile. She also called the waiter for their bill so they could still have time for a quick trip to her favorite coffee shop.

"Are you okay for coffee?" Dan asked Alex who still remained quite the entire meal. He's known Alex for years and he can tell something is bothering him but he doesn't want to pry. He'll wait for Alex to be ready to tell him himself.

"Sure." Again, Alex gave them a brief response.

"Common guys, I'm sure you'll love the coffee, their frappuccino is really to die for and of course they have handsome baristas." Chloe excitedly giggled as they headed to the coffee shop.

She's walking in front of them while Alex and Dan follow with Colin behind them.

"What would you guys have? I'll have the mocha frappuccino." Chloe turned to the two Omegas as she gave her order to the barista.

"One iced Americano for Dwight." One of the barista called out to the pick up counter.

All three of them turned to the direction of the voice and were surprised to find the Alpha again. Even Chloe thought it was just someone with the same name.

"Oh guys, what a coincidence. Maybe you guys are following me." Dwight said, smiling as he approached the three at the counter. "Do you really miss me that much Alex? Maybe you should really go back to my team." Dwight chuckled, completely ignoring the unhappy reception the trio is giving him. "See you around."
