Get Well Soon

"Ann? Is that you?" Grandma Rosie asked when she opened her eyes and saw Ann sitting beside her at the end of the bed.

"Yes, Grandma," Ann said with a small smile.

This was the fourth time grandma Rosie was asking that question after drifting in and out of consciousness for the past couple of hours due to the effect of the general anesthesia which had been administered to her during surgery.

They were all relieved now that the doctor had said grandma Rosie was going to be okay, at least for the time being, since she had just undergone her hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. All she needed now was to get complete bed rest for the next couple of weeks or even months, if possible, while her condition was being monitored.

"And Grace? I thought I had seen someone like her earlier. Is she here with you?" Grandma Rosie asked hopefully.
