Store Function

As Ezra went deeper, he started encountering monsters in groups and no longer one at a time. The wolves started behaving like actual wolves and attacked as a pack. What made things even more difficult was the fact that there was literally no pattern in their attacks. Even after fighting against many of them, he could only predict so much.

At that moment, Ezra had developed a kind of mentality. It was to just forge ahead and not try to think too much about how the monsters would attack. When the time came, he would deal with the attacks. This decision of his put him on high alert every time, and he started appreciating his sense stat even more.

After he passed the wolves focused region, as he termed it, he started seeing other monsters, and all of them were beast type. Another interesting was, the red name that hung over the wolves, had become green, after it changed from red to orange, to yellow, then green. His stats kept increasing as he kept levelling up. Unfortunately, he quickly lost count of what level he was in based off the level up notification, since some happened amidst a battle. There also was no log for him to track previous notifications, so that wasn't an option. He could calculate it based off how much his stat grew, but at that moment he just wasn't seeing the need.

'I should take a break for a bit.' Ezra thought to himself.

He still hadn't eaten since the store wasn't unlocked yet…

'The store..' He thought to himself.

Ezra touched the store section icon, and he was surprised to see that the store was now open.

"It must have happened during some fight and I didn't hear the notification." Ezra said to himself.

Looking at the store window, he could see the familiar things. Different sections were divided accordingly, but the primary section selected was for general. Looking at it now, he quickly saw what was up for sale.

Ezra looked at the items available, an immediately decided to buy. Of course, he had no coin at the time, so he would have to solve that problem before buying anything.

The good thing was, this cave seemed to work like a game. Whenever he killed something, the monster would drop some items. The drop was random, and seemed to mostly be low ranked items. H e was sure the prices of these items would be low from the start. Good thing was that he had quite the number of them. He had already sorted them out to see if anything of use was among the loot he had gotten so far, and just like suspected, there was nothing interesting or good. Just things like wolf fang, wolf hide, wolf claw, Ordinary Raged Wolf femur, Ordinary Raged Wolf… Useless things for the most part. From time to time, water pouches would drop, and that's what kept him hydrated, if not it would have been bad. Though, nothing edible dropped even once.

Ezra grouped everything he wished to sell in his inventory, and in one go asked the system to sell them all. In an instant, his inventory became almost empty and spacious, and that was when certain items came into Ezra's view. Things he had no idea when in his inventory or when he got them.

"I'll check those later." He said to himself.

Ezra was surprised that it amounted to that much. Each Wolf dropped three loot minimum, and these would range within 2 to 8 coins, and he killed over 50 of them, in addition to the other monsters. In the end it was reasonable.

Ezra went ahead to buy himself some bread and roasted meat since he could afford it.

When he was full from the food, he stuffed away the remaining into his system and opened the shop again to look for a weapon. These past fights, he had been fighting like a complete barbarian, tearing the wolves anyway he could. It was time for a change.

Ezra opened the store and went to the weapon's section. What he did not expect was for this section to be looking as scanty as it did. There were literally just two weapons in there, a short dagger and a short sword. Everything in there seemed to want to be of the short variety.

Ezra directly bought both weapons. After accepting the prompt confirming his purchase, the weapons immediately appeared in his inventory. Ezra went through the store to find anything thing of use, and eventually, all he could get were just clothes, all ordinary. Maybe it was because the shop had only open, but there were bare goods in it. Everything was ordinary, and none had any effect or additional feature.

Ezra got himself an ordinary long sleeved shirt, and a short sleeved one to wear on top. Then he also got one basic trouser and one ordinary boot that so much so happened to be his size exactly. The system really knew it's stuff.

'Everything fits perfectly, like it was all custom made for me.' He thought to himself.

"Well, I'm the only one patronizing the shop anyway, and I guess that's how games are normally, everything fits for the most part."

He took out his weapons to examine, and to say the least, he was very disappointed in the length of the dagger, it was more like an ordinary kitchen knife at that point, calling it a dagger was an insult to daggers. As for the short sword, it was roughly 5metres long or less. When Ezra checked their descriptions, all that was written was ordinary short sword, ordinary dagger. Ezra put them away, and moved on to something else.

First of all, he wanted to distribute his stat points that had been piling up.
