Dorm mates

I was obviously astonished by the dorm I will be staying in. It was very sophisticated; is this even a dorm? This is obviously a house!

Anyone would obviously have thought in the first place, by only seeing a normal door from the outside, that this was a normal dorm inside, but it is not.

The men in black left me in my dorm with my things. As I was looking around, a girl had just come out of her room with sleepy eyes.

"Transferree?" she asked.

"Uh, yeah," I said plainly.

"Really? My bad if you just saw me like this. I'm Avery." She walked closer to me and tapped my shoulder while she was drinking water.

"Ah Transferee?? Omg! It's nice to meet you! I'm Adriana," the girl who just respawned out of nowhere, introduces herself.

Gladly, I'm not the type of person who gets surprised easily, but for fck sake, deep inside me, I want to punch this girl, but I have to leave a good impression here. For real, my auntie wants me to have a good life.

"Adriana, stop doing that! You will give people a heart attack! Next time you will be invisible, the sun won't set on you again!" Avery scolded her.

"You really kill joy!" Adriana pouted like a child.

"So what does your power?!" I have just come here, and they have already asked me that.

"Uh..." I was hesitating if I was going to lie or not.

"I see, you don't have to worry; we were just like you also. We thought we didn't have powers, but we do. You just have to wait for your time; your power will eventually go out on its own," Avery said, assuring me that there's nothing to be worried about.

I couldn't help but smile. I feel like all of my overthinking just disappeared.

"I want to help you decorate your room," Adriana said as she was excited to guide me in my room.

As we were decorating my room, "Is invisible really your power?" I asked.

"Uh, no. I could also create a shield, and I could heal my teammates as long as they were near me," Adriana explained while she was busy helping me arrange my things.

"Wow," I said.

"How about Avery?" I asked.

"She could manipulate darkness," she simply said. How could she even make it so simple?

"How exciting that would be to have that kind of ability," I mumbled.

"Oh no!, you don't have to worry about that. You know what? I'm just like you. Out of my siblings, I'm the only one who was slow-born. I couldn't manipulate things just like my siblings do, but when the time comes, my power eventually goes out of its shelter," she said, trying to give me a positive emotion.

Bro is just making my emotions feel at ease, but that doesn't even work. I feel pressured right now when I know I am surrounded by people who are unfamiliar to me.

"Come on, don't give me that look. I want to be friends with you. Omg, I couldn't wait. What powers do you have?" she exclaimed happily.

But I couldn't bring myself to smile at what she had said.

After me and Adriana, we're done arranging my room. We went to the living room and sat on the couch. Avery came out next, in her room, holding three packs of blood.

And one was given to us: "Do you have schedules already for your class?" She asked and sat down.

"Yeah," said Tipid Kong Sabi while sipping the pack of blood.

"Is this human blood?" I asked. I can't determine whether it's human or not.

"No, just an animal. My family doesn't drink human blood," she simply said.

Oh... "Why? Does your family drink human blood?" Adriana asked.

"Uhh, yeah. We bought some from the hospital, but we don't normally drink blood in a month, just regular water and food. Just what humans do," I explained.

Both of them nod at me. "Can we take a look at your schedule? Maybe we have the same class," Avery said. I reached to her my schedule

"We have the same subject and class; Adriana is the only person who doesn't have a schedule for offensive classes." I glanced at Adriana as she puffed her cheek as if she didn't want her schedule.

"Why? Did you drop the subject?" I asked curiously.

"No! I was transferred to defensive class after my power came out. Healing and shield?" She even mumbled something, but I don't really pay attention to that.

What the h*ck is offensive class? They even put me there! I don't even have magic! It was quite a shame.

especially because I'm the only person who doesn't have any abilities like them.
