I'm here at my first class waiting for our professor to come, Avery even sitted next to me

"Hey, you must be the new one" a brunette girl came up to me and sat on my desk. I couldn't helped to raised my eyebrow

Me and Avery took glanced at each other "that's Amelia, she's basically one of the mean girl"

The girl named Amelia look so furious while looking at Avery. I know Avery said it out loud on purpose but she doesn't even mind how Amelia was looking at her

"And? What's the matter about it?" I asked

"Oh..don't think highly about yourself just because you were friends with this witch. You will eventually come to me and be friends with me" she said confidently

I rested my back on my chair and crossed my arms while looking at her "that was just an assumption. Is that all you wanted to say? Can you move out to my desk? How can i take a nap when you were sitting on it?" After I said that, some of our classmates were whispering at each other that made Amelia face blushed in embarrassment. Did I sa something wrong?

"You!" She raised her hand and pointed it on my neck, next second I feel like I'm choking. I feel like my inside were being squished. I glanced at her and she was smirking, anytime now I will going to passed out

Avery stood up and I could see her eyes darken while looking at Amelia. The place were starting to gloomy as Avery was sorrounded by dark smoke. What the hell is even happening?!

"I suggest that you should stop that now, Amelia" Avery said

"Is that a threat, Ms Merissa?" Amelia said as her eyes was filled in amusement. I was already losing my breathe, I might faint any second soon

Luckily using Avery power, she formed a smoke and choke Amelia on it. Amelia loses her focuses on me and trying to break free from Avery power. I coughed so hard that even the vains on my head were popping out. I gasped some air trying hard to breathe

"What's happening here!" Nikolov came along with his friends. I glanced at them as I was rubbing my throat. They walked closer towards us

Avery, calm down her power and goes back to her proper posture. She didn't even gave a glanced to Nikolov group, she just seated on her sit while crossing her arms

I glanced to Amelia as she was gasping some air. Nikolov walk closer to her and she encircled her arms around his arm

"They were bullying me!" She cried dramatically

Nikolov glanced at our direction "what did you do?" He asked grimly

"We didn't do anything, she was the one who came to us. You know...just greeted our guest" as I was about to open my mouth to explain everything but Avery interrupted me while shrugging her shoulder

"Nikolov is not talking to you, Ms Merissa" The man beside Nikolov said

"My friends throat were hurt because of your damn girl. How could she respond? If she cannot respond, who will? You? Emmanuel?" She spat back to the guy named Emmanuel. Emmanuel just gave her a plain look

Oh...no wonder Amelia just encircled her arms to Nikolov, because she was his girlfriend. I glanced at Avery, she doesn't really care of what people think about her. They were staring at us!

I couldn't helped to think. If she really don't want to explain our side, because the people infront of us were not even convince of what she said!

"Is that true, Babe?" Nikolov asked

"No! How could I do that! I would never do that, Babe" she cried while being defensive

I couldn't help to snort. What a great actress. If only my throat weren't hurt Im might grabbed this girl hair

"Lets forget about it. Let's head back to our seats" Nikolov said while glancing at me. He accompanied Amelia to her seat and sat next to her

"Why didn't you explain our side earlier?" I whispered to Avery

"There's no point of explaining our side. They won't still listen to us. As long they keep that b*tch away from us, it is fine" Avery said flatly

I just nod what she just said and just rub my throat again "is it still hurts?" She asked

"Yeah, a little bit. Thanks for helping me" I smiled

"Let Adriana heal that. No, it's fine, I am like you when I transferred here, no one even dares to stop her because they were afraid of her power, I just don't like how she treated you the way she treated me before. She thought I don't have any abilities like her. Tch, she doesn't really learn her lesson. I almost kill her before when she keeps on mocking me but gladly her white and shining armor came" she explained
