She had multiple bodyguards that were receiving quite the large salary so she was not afraid of losing her life before even getting married.... But.. "Human greed really is a vile thing. Is it not?" Now in another world where power decides everything human greed is not the biggest problem she will face. But bare in mind reader. Reincarnation is not that uncommon. (art ain't mine)

Gathering Techniques 2

'That's 1. I can get 4 more.'

The battle continued as Mitsuna stayed in the zone, creating new Techniques that have been never before seen.

While she did so, the sword saint was starting to get pushed back. She was now forced to use more of her Techniques that only gave Mitsuna more inspiration.

...

A Technique that forces you to a strength-based stalemate? Mitsuna created [Lunar Cinders] so that her target will slowly burn while in that stalemate.

After the sword saint started using a different Technique that did not let Mitsuna dodge or escape but instead forced her into a strength-based duel, Mitsuna had the idea of making her enemy back out before they could overpower her.

The best idea she could come up with was slowly increasing the temperature so her enemy would slowly be roasted if they did not back off.

Thus, [Lunar Cinders] was born.

The Techniques in this style consisted of:

[Slash of Cinder]. A simple swipe of the blade that left blue burning ashes in the surroundings that would scorch the skin if touched.

[Rekindle]. A self-buff that would set her sword ablaze in a blue flame.

[Ashen Step]. A more disorientating version of [Sakura Step] that focuses more on avoiding sight than movement.

[Moon on Fire]. A circular slice that pushes out a force of heat and haze to disorientate the target.

And [Lunar Bladework]. Attacks using these Techniques will inflict the Lunar Burn Debuff.

...

A Technique where the enemy will go on a full-on speed based assault? Mitsuna Created [Solar Snow] to freeze and slow down the target, with the ice on the floor being a hindrance to their footing.

As the sword saint started to forego any stalemates since she thought she would be the one on the losing end if it were to go on, she started thrusting her sword with a Technique that made illusionary copies of herself.

With Mitsuna's mind coming to the conclusion that she just needs to 'stop' her, she created [Solar Snow].

Its Techniques were comprised of:

[Frostspark]. A Technique that creates a spark of glowing orange ice that temporarily blinds the target.

[Solar Snowfall]. Creating white snow and an illusion of the brightly shining sun, the target is slightly blinded as every attack they land on a falling snowflake creates a heavy ice crystal on their weapon.

[Frostburn]. Creates flame that steals heat on the floor surrounding the user. The feet of those who step on it will freeze.

[Sun of Snow]. An icy and cold version of [Moon on Fire].

[Solar Bladework]. Attacks using these Techniques will inflict the Solar Freeze Debuff.

...

A Technique that shoots out flying blades of wind? Mitsuna created [Sunken Rot] to parry and redirect the attacks while slowly dealing damage back.

The sword saint started to get pushed back by Mitsuna's unnatural adaptability.

Using some of her strongest Techniques, the sword saint started using the forgotten style of Beast Techniques.

Swiping her sword and hand upwards, torrents of sharp claws and stone flew towards Mitsuna.

With her line of thought, Mitsuna knew that dodging and blocking were out of the question since her senses alerted her of the danger of these attacks.

As fast as she could, with sweat running down her forehead, Mitsuna created another Style of Techniques focusing on Redirecting and Parrying. Since she was being pushed back just as much as the sword saint, Mitsuna had accidentally created one of the most fearsome styles of Techniques in history.

The [Sunken Rot] Style Techniques came into existence. With its 6 Techniques. The laws of swordsmanship itself were bent as they came into existence.

The Techniques were:

[Flurry of Decay]. A Technique that bends wind to strike multiple targets, decaying even rock.

[Consume]. Created for defensive use, if a ranged Technique is launched, this will counter by consuming that Technique entirely.

[Rot]. A series of flowing attacks, when every attack hits, the receiver will suffer from heavy decay.

[Still Ocean]. Cover the ground in black and dark red coloured water. If anyone moves in or enters this space, the user may instantly move to their location and deliver a fatal wound.

[Reflection of Rot]. If a Technique that is not connected to a weapon is used, this forbidden Technique will reflect the attack back while infusing it with Rot.

[Sunken Bladework]. Attacks using these Techniques will inflict the Sunken Decay Debuff

...

A Technique that can't be blocked? Mitsuna created a style of Techniques that she herself did not figure out how to use.

As even the sword saints Beast Techniques could not knock Mitsuna out, she resorted to her last trump card.

The sword saint used the Technique of Magic. A Unique Technique Style that could launch any attack infused with Mana or even an Element and the attack would be sure to hit because of the effect of Magic Bladework.

As Mitsuna watched the oncoming monsoon of attacks of different elements, she was tired enough to die right there.

But her eyes still shined with Determination

'If someone is using Techniques against me. I just need to...'

As she raised her empty hand, the strange version of the Dawn Technique shined in her mind. Pointing a single finger, over half of the Techniques launched at her were erased from existence. The Technique was stopped half way as Mitsuna ran out of stamina.

The rest of the attacks made contact, yet even before they did, Mitsuna had already fainted due to the extreme amount of stamina she had used up.

The fight had been lasting for nearly 2 hours.

Even with her breathing strategy, she should have fainted long ago. Yet she did not.

As Mitsuna's injured body laid on the ground, the sword saint neared the body, placed a blanket over her, picked her up and limped outside.

Thus the battle ended in a defeat.
