Chapter 29: A Little Get Together
Lance always knew that Scott was hiding something, and even though he promised not to pry into the man’s life… that didn’t stop him from being nosy elsewhere. Seated in the corner of the diner, Lance was barely reading the book in front of him. Rather, he was waiting for Scott to show up while his mind went through every little moment he shared with Scott.
Naturally, there was a part of him that enjoyed being this close to Scott, working on their friendship together and just… enjoying each other’s presence. But there was more to Scott, secrets that the man kept to himself and Lance felt like the answers were right in front of him.
Lance just had to look past all those butterflies in his stomach and this with his head, not his heart. Easier said than done for someone like Lance though.
