"Actually, my father was one of the core members of the organization responsible for awakening the long-lost power of Vampires. After the great war, humanity won because of the Wizards but the end results weren't favorable for the wizards. After they won the war, Vampires cursed Wizards to not live a long life. The fact that wizards themselves had a thin bloodline and with this curse, the bloodline became even thinner. Soon, the wizards started turning rare species and now, we have a handful of them. They are so few that they can be counted on fingers. When the survivors got to know how the curse worked in their favor, they started forming groups to awaken their lost power."
