Chapter Five: A remembered soul

Yemi got off from work late Thursday intending to hit the club with his friends. Lately, he has been overly stressed with his book tours and managing the company, even if his partners were there helping him with it, he remains the main solicitor or rather the person with the final say.

Five years passed in a blink and he hasn't seen his dream girl appear again. It felt like after the whole thing that happened that day she had disappeared from his life with no trace at all and that frustrates him to no end. She plagues his thoughts leading him to look for her in every corner he could think of. He remembered he had travelled to Anka in the hope to see her, but he ended up disappointed and what was he thinking running off to a strange land to look for a woman he knows nothing of, but since then him living his life of dalliance has been limited.

He has tried to find answers to the words spoken to him but got nothing at the foot of that mountain but all lead to a dead end. So he figured until she is ready nothing can be done.

He waltzes into the club thinking of how nice it is if he could get his hand on any softie tonight, but nothing excites him as such anymore. It was like that kitten has taken all there was left of him.

Hey bro, kunle waved at him, thinking of your dream girl again, he teases. Cut it out Yemi snapped at him, what's on the menu today? Well for starters it's your favourite Moet Dom and some shakers are in the building. Yemi sighed at his piety remark but ignored him, Yomi is late he asked him. Yeah said he is getting a raincheck today, his girlfriend is having the thing again.

Yemi wonders how his sweet friend got himself in a fix as that one he calls a girlfriend. I guess it's just us then, I need to speak to you about our next expenditure, he said suddenly, where did that come from he thought, he wasn't thinking of that but when he tried pulling himself out of the thought, he felt it before he said it, the pull so strong it unwind him.

Es l'ora fraire it's time brother, time to know what has been buried, time to honour your oath of brotherhood, time to meet the question (oracle) for I who has been pledged to her by the soul is the answer she seeks.

He felt shaky, down his cup and looked up at his stunned friend, she's back he said to him, my dream girl is back, we need to go to Anka as soon as possible.
