CHAPTER 16:
The whole day seemed to be wonder for tom he had nothing to do he just couldn't imagine what had happened to him . " being banned from my hobby this is so bad it's my worst nightmare" tom whispered to himself.
He couldn't even call his teammates he thought they were still upset of his cowardice he wished time could be reversed , to was so heavy hearted and hopeless that time , endless commercials were the only thing on tv he went for a walk outside for nothing was left to do . " I'm coming" tom's mom said coming downstairs as someone knocked on the door , " oh goodness now where's tom he should've opened" she said as she opened the door , the barracudas were there , " wow , I wasn't expecting this" , " uhm is tom there" lanna said , " yeah come in" , tom's mom said as they went inside.
So I think I've been in the kitchen upstairs most of this morning and I think I don't know where he is I'll go to check in his room , she said as she went to his room . but surprisingly tom wasn't there , she went back to the living room , " guys I think he isn't here right know but he could have went outside for a while he'll be back if you'll wait , " yeah actually we came to check on him we can't leave without seeing him we could wait" bill said, "okay so I'll get you something in the meantime" , " that would be great mam " ritha said , tom's mom switched on the tv and went back to the kitchen.
Tom's dad then went downstairs as his mom went up , he was surprised to see tom's friends in the living room , " hey you guys" he said , they all greeted him then , " so how's it been going , guys" , " actually we've been doing well but tom was not there mostly so we all agreed to stop by and check on him" lanna said , " but unfortunately he is not here" , " oh so I'll check if he's in his room" , " no don't bother his mom recently checked but he was not there" Jennifer said , " he could have gone for a walk" said pete .
"okay we'll wait then" said tom's dad , so you were saying he wasn't there for a while right" , " yeah" they all responded , " so I just want to know is tom such a considerable team member ?" , " absolutely , before the accident tom was our team captain but he wasn't there mostly for like a week or more and so without him we haven't been practicing well because we had no captain" , said pete , " but what about miley ?" tom's dad asked , " actually she prefers we practice on our own , she says that's what makes a real champion" , " oh now I get it" he answered ritha .
" now who's ready for some treats" , tom's mom came from the kitchen with some muffins and other snacks , " so I see you're having fun right , but where's this tom now it's been about an hour and he's not returned yet , but let me call him" she said as she took her phone to call tom , " the phone rang in the sofa next to ritha , " ah , I think he isn't going to answer it" , " why" , " the phone is right here" , " oh come on I thought he will , but never mind , I think you won't be bothered right" , " yeah we are ready to wait" . Someone knocked as she spoke , " oh I'll check who it is" , she went to open the door . actually , I wasn't expecting this , it's not tom , it's the mail guy" , and someone entered as soon as the mail guy went , it was tom he unplugged his earphones from the mp3 player .
He was shocked to see his in the living room with his parents . yet he left no one in the living room , " hi" , he said nervously , " hi tom" lanna said , " wow , this is a surprise , how did you even reach here" he said as he sat in the sofa , " we had to stop by to check on you" , " yeah I'm great and I see that you're fine too" . " So how did you even go out without you phone tom , actually it's weird right , we tried to call you but it rang in the sofa right next to ritha" , said his mom , " yeah it is" he said as he looked at ritha .
" So tom I heard from your friends that you were the team captain lately" , " yeah I was until I couldn't show up for practice again" , " huh that's good , I never knew that you made quite a great progress" , " thanks dad" , " so I guess we'll leave you and your friends right , have fun" he said as he went upstairs with his mom .
Tom stayed in the living room with his friends". " guys , thanks for helping me though I was such a coward , and I am so sorry for my behavior lately" , lanna approached him and placed her arm on tom's shoulder , " tom we've thought all about it and there's no reason for being on your own , you've been going through a lot and it may have caused the accident , so we forgave you" , she said , " really guys" , they all nodded their heads .
" wow guys thanks for all I'm so grateful for all that you've done I really couldn't imagine how I would approach all of you and say sorry , guys I really appreciate it thanks for everything , it's a dream come true" .
" so I think we'll be heading to the training soon right" said bill , " first of all bill , I'm rely sorry for I have been such a fool recently I really owe you thanks for forgiving me , but about the training thing I think it'll be so hard" , " what I think I don't get this straight , why did you say so" , said Jennifer , " so here is the point , my dad banned me from practice with you guys just because of the accident , he said he wouldn't risk losing his only son , after losing my older brother" , " woo you had a brother" , " yeah but I never got to know him bill , but that's of no importance guys I think you know I didn't do it on purpose , I was dragged away by my thoughts and woke up in the hospital , I really messed things up and I'm now baring the consequences" .
"man this is totally screwed up , so how are we going to handle it" bill said . Tom's dad descended down stairs , tom saw him , " dad" , he said , " tom I heard what you were talking about" , " dad I'..." , " don't worry tom , your mom and I have had talk and we came to one agreement , tom , I'm letting you head back to the barracuda club and you can resume your training" , " wow , dad thank you very much" , " wait on one condition , if you are really willing to win in and never fall into accidents again" , " dad I really thank you for all and thanks for giving me another chance to show myself , dad really thanks and I promise I will do what I've got to do" , " so guys I think we'll be leaving , you can go out if you want" , his dad said as he went back upstairs.
"Guys I think this is the best thing that happened to me since I recovered" , " so tom I think you've got what you wanted maybe we could go to the club and tell miley" bill said , and they all went to the club .
" so I think I amtotal nervous miley is going to be hard on me" , " come on tom , she's notgoing to trust us" , " okay" tom said and they opened the door . Miley we'reback" , " what a surprise , that's great , oh and look who's back" she said asshe saw tom , " coach" , " you can call me miley now" , " I mean miley ," hesighed , " I'm sorry for letting you down , I really got caught up in my emotionsand made many unwise decisions , but I'm really sorry miley" , " tom you really made unwise choices but there's no problemyour friends forgave you and who am I to not , welcome back to the team tom" ," tom went and hugged miley and held her tight , " miley thanks for all , Ireally thank you for being by my side though I disappointed you many at times", " tom I also have something to say , " when you were not there I was the newcaptain but I think it belongs to you" , " no bill you don't have to" , " notom trust me , you're better than I could do" , " bill said , they all cheeredup .
