I was working on a patient's chart in my office at the hospital when I got a call from Makai. I didn't expect it, but I knew that he never called unless he had a reason to.

"Makai, how is it going?" I greeted him cheerfully to let him know that I wasn't angry about the intrusion.

"Can you come check on Ocean? He's been sick lately." There was a level of panic in his voice that I picked up on right away.

"Sick how?" I think that my tone almost perfectly mimicked his.

"Like how he was in the water, throwing up and all that, but it's worse. He isn't eating. He is throwing up all the time. And he is losing weight. I am worried that something is wrong with him. Please, Doc, I need your help." This didn't sound good at all. We all knew that Ocean had been getting sick, but he seemed to be getting better, so I stopped worrying about it so much. Like the others, I thought that it was just stress induced.
