"You make it sound like you have a choice," Ray stated, turning to speak to Barai next.
"We'll drop you close to the wall…" Ray informed her and she quickly nodded, taking a noticeable sigh of relief that she didn't have to make up a nonsensical excuse on her own.
"On seconds thoughts you do have a choice…" Ray said, placing both his hands in the pocket of the black jacket he still wore and staring at the sky feeling the rising sun of the early morning right behind him.
"You can stay here and continue to struggle and pretend that you're fine with where you are, what you're doing, and how your life is going or you can turn your back on everything that held you down, or people that stepped all over you and show them why they should regret their actions," Ray said speaking in a conversational tone that made it feel like he was talking to himself rather than to Fashan and Kin who were still sitting on the floor about two feet away from him.
