The CEO's Life is Difficult II

Lin Ruoxi sat in the comfort of her home drinking a cup of coffee, seeing the rising assets belonging to Maple Corporation on her phone, a smile made its way to her face inadvertently.

'This is not a war between Yu Lei and Maple, Tang Wan, this is between you and me!'

"Young Miss, aren't you going to work early again?... Mr Lin said he was coming today..." Wang Yulan, her caretaker and 'second mother'; prepared her breakfast, it wasn't usual for the Young Miss to have breakfast before leaving for the company... she was always so hardworking.

But the answer came by itself when she saw the book she was reading.

'Health and skin care tips for dummies'.

'She is already so beautiful, why does she want to get more?' The caretaker wondered in intrigue, the answer came just as quickly and she couldn't help but smile widely,' After centuries the young Miss finally got interested in somebody!'

Wang Yulan knew her young miss' customs, she'd never spend that much money on a single vehicle which means the car is a gift from someone, a very expensive one!

"I'll be going Wang Ma; but I'll make a habit out of having my meals at their right time, it's to take care of my own health." the CEO said and went back to her phone.

Was she beautiful? no doubt, the media confirmed it by calling her princess or queen every single day. But Tang Wan had a better and more trained body than hers.

She would have to separate some of her time for workouts.

'Would Vlad go with me to the gym if I asked him?' she sighed and looked at her phone that hasn't rung, cursing that 'wannabe vampire' for not being so tactful as to know that she was craving attention.

The thought of expecting a man's message so insistently made her blush. It had never happened.

'Would we marry?' she hurriedly shook her head, 'that's too soon! b-but I did propose it to him...'

She didn't even have time to think about her father, she could even stay at the office and not come today for all she cared, or she could go on a date with Vlad if only he hadn't suddenly disappeared...

'Calm down Ruoxi! You're moving too fast!'

'I wonder what he's doing, should I call him? But he never answers' Lin Ruoxi would think he's evading her, but according to the informants, he hadn't even been to his company.

Yes, there were informants.

'D-Don't I look like a stalker? no... it is for his and my sake, I'm sure Tang Wan must have informants too!'

'He might be speaking with Tang Wan now, that slut surely called to show her gratitude, or at least, that was the excuse'.

Her head continued to ruminate and consider over and over and over... the heart of a maiden in love is terrifying.

Alucard drove his new Ferrari 458 Italia, it wasn't fun as the Lambo, but it was something... he decided that it was about time to call his partner; he had left her alone for quite a while.

He took his phone and dialled a number.

"Good evening Vlad, I'm happy to receive your call~" a very feminine but mature voice answered his call.

"Wan, I hope you have been well. I apologise for not calling you sooner, I had some... difficulties. I was calling you to schedule our meeting regarding your stocks, is tomorrow at about this time good enough for you?"

"It's perfect Vlad, thanks for everything you have done on your end, by the way, you have created quite a bit of work for me~ but back to the topic... are we just going to discuss that? I'd rather we discuss something else~"

"Oh? Like what?"

"Like the things I'm going to do to you or the things you will do to me~" Tang Wan decided to throw a bone, scratch that, a whole skeleton!

Alucard snickered at her boldness as he drove.

"We don't need to discuss that Wan. I know exactly what I am going to do to you~ hope you have your ideas prepared as well otherwise I'll end up having my own fun singlehandedly~ see you tomorrow".

Tang Wan bit her lips on the other side, "Bye, Vlad, I'll be waiting".

On the other side, Tang Wan placed her phone on the table and slumped on it.

She was getting crazier for this man by the second. But she was no teenager, there was a proper procedure for things, but once the procedure was complete.

Lin Ruoxi sat in her office reviewing some information.

Everything was going perfectly.

Their clothing sets were being produced in mass and the orders kept coming.

She managed to get back 3% of the stocks of Yu Lei and now held 23% herself, becoming the Chairman.

But this would result in an issue in the next board meeting. Especially with her father.

Her stocks in Maple kept increasing although fractionally, obviously... Tang Wan had made her move and she wasn't the only one trying to get shares from Maple after the news of their contract with Hermes. Most of her capital was invested in both Maple and Hermes.

There was one thing that wasn't right, however.

Vlad hasn't called her.

Could it be that something happened?

She didn't call him before, because she didn't want to appear desperate, the CEO desired to be sought after and chased!

'God... Ruoxi, you should have called, what if something happened?' she began to worry.

*KNOCK*

"Enter!"

Her best friend entered the office.

"Ruoxi, the chairman of Hermes' Wings Corporation is here, he seeks-."

"Let him in!" She didn't even need to know.

Mo Qianni nodded with a sigh and left the office intending to let Hermes' Chairman into the CEO's office.
