School invasion ~2!

'What the hell is happening?' My brows frowned as I felt something unexpected. It had been some minutes since I felt the presence of bastards furiously approaching the school. The amount of them was crossing my detectable limit. The stench was increasing every single second and I was frozen in my seat.

Even training with Lilith for that long time, I still wasn't ready to face something like this. I might have the power but still, the feeling of death and fret was coursing through my whole self.

'Get out of it'. I slapped myself and stood up.

"Sensei. I am feeling nausea." I walked out of my task as she permitted me to go infirmary. Mahiru was staring at me worriedly all the time. I knew she must have felt my emotions beforehand, so to assure her I dropped a note as I passed by her desk.

After leaving the class, I ran toward the terrace with my phone dialing a particular number as I reached the top stair.

"We are on the way. Don't jump in the fight and stay away from it. Please". Maki said as soon the call connected.

" You think I will?" I answered and the other side went blank for some second.

"Please brother. Be safe ". I hummed before disconnecting the call. I didnt know how much time she would take to reach here but the invaders would surely reach the school before them.

I gulped at the site at the number of opponents I saw. They were about a hundred in the count. Every single of them were fanatic bastards, devouring each living thing that came into their way. But the most shocking thing was that their prominent target was our school.

Even after having quite a meal they never stopped.

Huge chaos already has spread across the town because of the horde of beasts. Since the school was situated in a less populated area, only a dozen of civilians were targeted in the line of fire. If this many lunatics, spreads in the city then the consequences would be drastic.

Honestly, I wasnt sure whether I would be able to handle them or not. But my calculation was bending awfully toward the losing end so I decided to buy time and wait for the hunter's arrival.

'I should inform them anyhow'. I started rampaging my mind on how could I keep the vampires busy until everyone evacuate the school.

The time was falling short as the horde was only a kilometer away from the school, so I decided to do it brute way.

Biting the flesh of my thumb, a single drop of blood poured down my skin, and just after it dropped the blood took the shape of a one-meter unsculptured blade wiry curved end.

This blood mending technique requires high concentration as even I lose a single bit of my focus, I would lose a massive amount of blood.

I held the hilt of the blade and jumped in the air as high I could, before slashing the air toward the direction from where the vampires were coming.

*SWIIIIN*

*BOOOOM* A destructive noise erupted in the surroundings and I was sure everyone from school would have heard it. Unfortunately, less than 10 vampires were only injured from my attack and here I used my 20% of the energy in that attack.

" This is going to be tiring".

As Yuuta expected every single person in the school building heard the loud sound of the blast that happened some far away from them.

The teachers and every student ran toward the window and saw fire erupting from some distance away, and soon a loud uproar echoed in the school. Someone from the school saw the live news of the incoming horde of unknown identity and informed the official about it.

The blast and the shocking news were enough to make them panic and evacuate as soon as possible.

A stampede of students resounded in the building as everyone started rushing out of the school. Pushing each other, leaving some behind, and even injuring each other as they proceeded out.

Mahiru took the chance and ran toward the terrace where Yuuta called her through the note he gave her.

The students were running toward the school gate but they all froze when they saw numerous amount of weird-looking people running toward the school at a speed that defies human capabilities.

"AAAAAAAAA". The whole school started running toward the other end of the school on just their instincts. It wasnt different for faculties. As students, they also didnt know what to do, so running away was their only option.

But they couldn't run away from something like that. The vampires were closing distance passing each second and those who were at the back of the group got attacked. Some of the bastards who were running at the front were now surrounding the whole school populace.

Other vampires were also closing by and within some second they also would have crossed school gates and started to feast on the humans.

However, something unexpected happened.

A huge red wall of blood formed around the school, with a height of more than 30 feet. The wall was simply repelling the beastly attacks of bastards. They clawed, punched, and bit the blood barrier but the wall stood tall and strong.

In the inside of the school, almost 20 bastards were surrounding the students and teachers with their sharp teeth on showcase and growl leaving their mouths.

The bastards were mindless creatures so without wasting time in intimidating and stuff, they jumped on the students.

" HEELLLLPPPPP".

"MMMMMAAAAA".

" AHHHHHHHAAA" Everyone started scattering, trying to get far away as possible.

The scene around become gory and bloodied as the vampires started feeding on the teenagers one by one.

Cries and misery were loud enough to quench one's heart in pain. The prosperous and nurturing place was painted red. In place of laugh and enthusiasm, screams and terror took place.

" Please so-someone help us". Two girls who were some meters apart from a bastard who was digging in other student right now, prayed with tears uncontrollably coming out of their eyes.

These two were already injured themselves and now were waiting for their salvation. A total of 40 students were already sent to the other side and more were coming along the way.

*Growl* Just the bastard threw the cold dead body of a short-haired boy away and gawked at his two new hunts, someone appeared in between them.

The girls had their vision blurred because of the tears but they knew from the uniform that it was someone from their school.

"Shit. I am late". Standing with a crimson blade in hand and blood on his lips, Yuuta stood while checking the surrounding.

His presence already gathered the attention of every single unleashed vampire on the ground.

Not every kind of vampire feasts on their own kinds. But it wasnt like they doesn't have the urge, they could just control it. However, bastards don't know a word like restrain and resistance. Yuuta's blood was like a smell of whiskey to them, overwhelmingly inviting them to tore his inch and inch apart and suck him dry to the core.

And so like how a beast should attack, they came down on four and lunged toward Yuuta.

Suddenly the assault went on halt, almost every gaze fell on the point it got redirected.

Yuuta's eyes were glowing red like his opponent's, and the little blood on his face made him more look like a predator ready to massacre his prey.

Holding the blade in a tight grip with his right hand, Yuuta slid forward and with a clean-cut, bisected the incoming vampire in two smoothly. His speed and agility were on another level than any vampires present here.

But this move didnt stop others, as they darted ferociously toward him.

The students had nowhere to go as the whole school perimeter was surrounded by a blood wall so staying on the school grounds was their only option. Naturally, the focus was none other than the fight happening at the center.

Yuuta was barely holding the large barrier while he fought with the bastards. Using his blade most efficiently to not lose much blood, he separated the neck of each of them steadily yet at a fast pace.

'14'. Only six vampires were left when Yuuta started feeling dizzy. He has recovered some blood before coming here but he wasnt ready for something like this. It draws a lot of blood using the blood and manifests its potential, so it perfectly slays and devours its prey.

*SLASSSHH* *SPLURT* Another neck was sent flying with Yuuta's breath becoming ragged.

He knew failing here would cost his life. Clinging to the last ounce of energy he had, he slid the blade vertically in a straight manner, slaying all the remaining in one hit.

*SLINNNGGGG* Just after sliding through the blood fountains and falling bodies, he also fell on the ground with his eyes half-closed. No one dared to come up to him and the trauma was too much for them to handle.

With each second, Yuuta started fading his consciousness. His body screamed in pain suffering. His body was tattered like his clothes with uncountable wounds appearing all over his upper body.

Even after that he somehow managed to maintain the wall around the school. His fuzzy mind was about to break and go into frenzy when he heard the noises of something blasting. He faintly smelt a familiar fragrance from some distance before he left the wall broken and losing himself to his fatigue.

'I leave rest to you Maki'.

[A day later]

In a closed conference room, seated five elderly-looking people in diplomatic suits. They were facing a young girl with red-haired pale yellow eyes.

" Report". The man sitting in the middle of the group said in a dominating tone.

"As you command sire. 45 students and 3 teachers were killed. 32 were injured. We have informed the local authorities about it. From our side, not a single casualty. Some light injuries, but it will heal no time". In one breathe she completed her report.

" What about the boy who took care of it. I am sure you were aware of him being a vampire for a long time. Do you have any word to excuse yourself?" The woman sitting just on the left of the center seat spoke in a condemning voice.

They all knew who saved the students and held the bastards until hunters arrived and how that specific being was related to Makima.

"None. However, if you allow then I will take up it to myself and do the necessary deed with my brother". Makima held it roughly as she regarded Yuuta as a brother in front of the church superiors.

The people in front of her were wary of anything which wasnt human even...

...the so-called inhumane have saved their own kinds.

" And how are you considering handling this matter?" The man sitting in middle crossed his finger under his chin and asked as he leaned forward.

After a brief moment of pause, Makima gathered every ounce of her courage to mutter the words which she never thought she would use for her dear brother.

"I will do what a hunter should. By exterminating monsters and my brother is no exception in my belief".
