The bidding took place at the scheduled venue on a little island just outside the main city. It was not a long drive but Mr. Denson and Lady Denson went on a chopper. Adah and her team were driven to the venue. All the participants were first taken around the huge complex and shown the various stages of refining and producing diamonds and expensive stones. They were later taken to the hall to commence the bidding. Mr. Denson was quite in high spirits, he had left all the talking to Munah since he does not understand a word in German. They all submitted their bidding proposals and each participant came up to present a manifesto. Munah spoke about the legacy of the company and the goodwill it had enjoyed over the years but stressed that the reason why the empire is bidding is not only to sustain the legacy but to expand beyond what it is now. He explained the plans of expanding the frontiers of the company so that there is a branch in each continent of the world. He finished by thanking the owners for agreeing to sell the company and promised that they will be given a seven percent profit for life if the empire eventually takes over the esteemed company. He finished and to Mr. Denson's surprise, everyone clapped. Adah was proud while her father looked on in apprehension. The bidding was to take only thirty minutes. It was to be a secret bidding process after which each contender will explain the bid presented.
Munah felt his heart beating very fast as it all came to an end. Lady Denison who is always hard to please nodded in appreciation while Mr. Denson shook his hands. Adah could not hide her feelings as she hugged him lightly with a slight look on her mother who seemed not to be watching. She is quite happy for him and the impression that he has created. As the decision was concluded, the Denson empire won the bid because they came up with the highest bid and an excellent manifesto. They were congratulated by the other participants and that was when the votes from the staff were announced surprisingly The Denson empire came out tops. Without delay, the president of the company called out Munah as well as Mr. Denson who invited Adah and the Mother as well as Lily to the podium as they collected all relevant documents and certificates of ownership. Mr. Denson signed all relevant papers and was asked to address the little audience. He spoke in English while Munah did the translation. It was a short speech of about three minutes. After the speech, they dispersed to grant interviews to the waiting press. The press interview took about thirty minutes with Mr. Denson and Lady Denson answering questions from the international press as well as the local press both from the print and media. When it all ended, Mr. Denson proposed a dinner party for all at the Reitz hotel. Adah pleaded to be exempted insisting that she is tired, she does not want the closeness of her man to her parents. She prefers them to see him from afar. Though disappointed, Mr. Denson called his daughter aside for a little talk while Lady Denson discussed with Lily. He thanked his daughter for Munah's help and insisted that he come over and help him at the newly acquired company. Adah refused with a laugh insisting that she will need him more. He also revealed to her daughter that he came for a holiday but saw the opportunity to own one of the greatest companies in the world, he cannot let it just go by. He told her that he will be staying a little longer so to properly settle down and put plans on how to run the company. Adah is already one of the directors and will at some point preside over meetings of the company in the nearest future. They hugged and her father went back to his wife and on his way stopped to greet Munah who got somewhat surprised that Mr. Denson did not recognize him anymore.
They departed to the waiting chopper and watched as Mr. Denson and Lady Denson entered the chopper and waved at the little crowd before it took off. Adah felt no pain or regret for she knows that there will be no reason to since Munah is by her side. She learned another side of him again, his confidence was quite intimidating and his German is as perfect as his Spanish. Within her, she knows that he is a gift and this she swore to protect and treasure. As they walked back to the car, she thought about what her father told her and wondered a little, for he to suggest working with Munah is a plus for her part. He likes him and the role Munah played was nothing but awesome. He took control of the whole process in a way that electrified the owners, her parents, and even the other participants. They entered the car and the driver drove off smoothly and made their way towards the Reitz hotel. Adah yearned for Munah as she sat with Lily at the back of the car. Though she struck up a discussion with her best friend but often found herself lost in thoughts about her man.
They entered their suite and as usual, she came on him with her lips searching his. She held him and with her strength gently dragged him to the couch. On the couch, she came on him fully still searching his lips with hers. He held her tenderly encouraging her as he responded fully to her advances. She stopped and tenderly looked into his eyes with great affection.
"I want to tell you that I love you beyond my imagination. I owe you my life for this thing that you helped me to accomplish." Adah said looking at him. He embraced her again while she kicked off her shoes to relax fully on him. She also removed his before relaxing on him again this time more provocatively.
"I am just happy that everything went through despite all my fears. I want to thank you as well for your confidence and love. This is the first time I am doing this and I will forever have you to thank." Munah said with a smile.
"My father wants to work with you... I said no because I want you more. You are my life and I can't risk letting you go away from my sight." Adah revealed looking at him.
"It's both of us together for life Adah. I won't fall for that." Munah said removing the strands that want to cover her face.
"For him to suggest that means he's quite impressed with your performance and that alone made me happy. Now we are going to work harder sweetheart so that we fulfill our manifesto to the world." Adah said softly as she playfully ran her finger through his hair.
"We have a train to catch, hope you have not forgotten," Adah said and smiled observing that he has forgotten about their plans. She stood up from him and called the reception to book a cab that will take them to the train station. They left almost immediately and made for the lift as Munah pressed the ground floor. Adah thought of informing Lily but brushed the idea aside as she knows that she will be busy with her newfound lover. Adah could not help but wonder how Lily identifies and easily mixes up with some of her kind. Lily has educated her on that but in as much as it seems difficult to her, Lily has claimed that it is always as easy as cutting out a slice of pizza. She remembered when Lily's friends used to mistake her for a lover to Lily. Then, it was all jealousy against her until Lily cleared the air about their relationship.
Adah settled down beside him as their train began its fast journey to the city popularly called the big smoke. Adah leaned on him as the journey continued thinking about what will Mrs. Rowling's think of her. For the first time, she feared for herself and Munah. They will get to their destination after midnight and Unknown to Munah, Adah had made all the preparation for them to be comfortable. Kelly will be receiving them at the train station. She will be coming to pick them up in one of Adah's cars. They will first cool off at her flat in Essex County and visit the Bell hospital. Adah felt elated at the thought of going back to Essex. There will be a lot she will show him, especially her business which has quite grown in the hands of Kelly. Adah allowed him to put his arms around her as he pulled her much closer to himself, his action distorted her thoughts but, she enjoyed the closeness as she allowed him to dwell in his thoughts while she went back to her thoughts. She remembered what the doctor discussed with her concerning Mrs. Rowling, she is fully recuperating but still needs time to fully adjust to her new environment. Seeing Munah will help her but Adah is quite unsure of her reaction toward her.
