Plans and Countermeasure

Kardo woke up early and prepared for the day ahead. He put on his dark clothes and made sure to wear his interspatial ring. He had a feeling that he might need it today.

He left the inn and walked through the busy streets of the city. He observed the people around him, trying to blend in with the crowd. He made his way to the area where the heist was supposed to take place.

As he walked around, he noticed the security measures in place. There were knights patrolling the area, and the building had several layers of security. Kardo knew that this was going to be a difficult task, but he was determined to complete it.

He walked around the building, trying to find a weak point in the security. He noticed a small alleyway next to the building and decided to investigate. As he walked through the alley, he saw that there was a small window at the back of the building. It was small enough for him to fit through, but he would need to disable the security measures first.

Kardo knew that he needed more information, so he decided to go undercover. He went to a nearby tavern and ordered a drink. He listened to the conversations around him, trying to gather information about the building and the people who worked there.

After a while, he overheard a conversation between two guild members. They were talking about the security measures in place at the building and how difficult it was going to be to break in. Kardo listened intently and heard them mention an identification bracelet that would disable the security system.

Kardo knew that he needed that bracelet, but he also knew that it would be heavily guarded. He decided to come up with a plan.

Kardo followed the rival guild member from a distance, making sure to stay hidden and not draw attention to himself. He had been tracking the man for a while, observing his movements. He watched as the man entered a secluded area, and Kardo knew it was his chance to strike.

He approached the man from behind, and with a swift strike to the back of the head, the guild member fell to the ground, unconscious. Kardo quickly stripped him of his clothing and identification bracelet and put them on himself.

With the bracelet on his wrist, Kardo was able to bypass the security checkpoints and enter the mansion unnoticed. He kept his head down and avoided eye contact with the guards, blending in with the other guild members who were already inside.

Kardo made his way deeper into the mansion, keeping an eye out for any signs of the artifact they were after. He tried to look as natural as possible, striking up conversations with other guild members and gathering any information he could about the mansion's layout and security.

Once inside, Kardo kept his head down and moved quickly, trying not to draw any unnecessary attention to himself. He made his way through the mansion, observing the layout and the placement of the guards. He took note of the location of the safe he was supposed to steal from, making sure to commit it to memory. He also used the system to map the entire area.

As he made his way back out of the mansion, Kardo couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. He had successfully infiltrated the rival guild's security, and now he had valuable information that would help him complete the Shadow Guild's task. He knew that the real challenge was still ahead of him, but he felt more confident now that he knew the lay of the land.

Kardo made his way through the busy streets of the city, his mind preoccupied with the details of the mansion's security. He had successfully infiltrated the rival guild's territory and learned much about their defenses, but there were still gaps in his knowledge. He needed to report to Lirien and discuss his findings with her.

Kardo arrived at the meeting place with Lirien, looking serious and focused. He knew that the information he had gathered about the mansion's security was crucial for the success of their mission.

"Lirien," he said as he approached her. "I've got the details about the security inside the mansion. It's heavily guarded by knights and mages with magical items. They're monitoring the inside and outside of the mansion, making it almost impossible to infiltrate without being detected."

Lirien listened intently to Kardo's report, nodding occasionally as he spoke. When he finished, she looked at him with a small smile.

"Good work, Kardo," she said. "Your information is very helpful. With this, we can make a plan to get what we need without being detected."

Kardo felt relieved that his work was appreciated, but he still had some concerns. "But how are we going to get past those mages and their magical items?" he asked.

Lirien thought for a moment before answering. "We'll need to find a way to neutralize the mages without alerting the knights. Just do your part, and we will take care of the rest."

Kardo watched as Lirien disappeared into the crowd. He knew that their plan was risky, but he had his doubts about the Shadow Guild's true motives. He had to be prepared for anything.

He had a feeling that the guild was using them for their own gain, and he didn't like it. But he couldn't back out now, not when they were so close to completing their mission.

He needed a countermeasure, just in case things went south. He looked into his ring and took out a small vial of clear liquid. It was a potion of transformation, which he had purchased from a local mage earlier that day. He will use it to disguise himself.

Feeling more prepared now, Kardo left the alley and headed towards the mansion where the heist was planned to take place. He knew that he had to be cautious, as any wrong move could jeopardize their entire mission.

As he walked, he kept his eyes peeled for any sign of trouble, his hand ready to draw his dagger at a moment's notice. He couldn't afford to let his guard down, not when he was so close to discovering the truth about the Shadow Guild.

Lirien walked into the dimly lit room, the smell of incense and candles filling his nostrils. The other members of the shadow guild were already gathered, sitting in a circle around a small table in the center of the room.

The leader of the guild, a tall and imposing figure with piercing blue eyes, sat at the head of the table. He gestured for Lirien to take a seat next to him, and Lirien did so, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement.

"Good evening, Lirien," the leader said in a deep voice. "Tell us, what did you find out about the security at the mansion?"

Lirien cleared his throat and began to recount the details he had learned from Kardo. He spoke of the knights guarding the perimeter and the mages monitoring the inside with their magical devices. The other members of the guild listened intently, nodding their heads in agreement.

"Excellent work, Lirien," the leader said when he had finished. "We will put your information to good use tonight. Are there any other concerns you wish to bring up?"

Lirien hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I just want to make sure that we are not putting ourselves or innocent people in danger with this heist. I have my doubts about the true motives of our employer."

The other members shifted uneasily in their seats, but the leader remained composed. "We have done our research, Lirien," he said firmly. "This is a wealthy family with no ties to any major political or criminal factions. We are simply taking what is rightfully ours."

Lirien nodded, not entirely convinced but knowing better than to argue with the leader. He made a mental note to keep a close eye on the situation and be ready to act if anything went wrong.

As the meeting drew to a close, the leader gave a final word of encouragement to his team, and the members dispersed to prepare for the heist. Lirien left the headquarters, feeling both excited and apprehensive about what was to come.
