Rainbow

The lady finally surrendered. She had no reason what so ever to decline this dance, after all she was the one who requested for a make up.

Guiding one of her hands, he placed it on his lower back while he firmly held the other in his grasp.

He wrapped his arm around her waist, drawing her closer to him, so close that she could feel his breath.

That move made her mind to quickly stop functioning as she did nothing but nervously follow his lead, step by step.

Her heart was racing and beating so loudly, but strangely, there was no tension in the air. She was amazed by how smooth their steps were. She had never danced with a guy this handsome before so she didn't know exactly what it felt like.The timing of all their actions were all perfectly in place with the music and she loved it.

"You know your moves are quite impeccable for someone who's not a great dancer" He whispered in her ear and twirls her around afterwards.

"Oh yeah um my grandmother used to teach me how to dance... It was a really long time ago so um.. I guess the spirit comes and goes" she replied with a grin. "This is my first time at an event this huge you know" The lady added. The last thing she wanted was to spark an argument between the both of them.

"I see.. Don't you like it? Rainbow?" An enchanting smirk curved up his lips, still maintaining a neutral expression on his face.

"Rainbow?she chuckled " My name is Jena sir and of course I love it but it's pretty overwhelming a kind of"

"You have pretty much everything a rainbow does- the glamour, the glitter, the glow" he emphasized on 'the glow'

Jena's cheeks flushed red. "Really? All this glamour, glitter and glow.. it's a lot to handle you know?" Jena held her chin up high, trying so hard to maintain her composure.

"Nothing's ever been too much for Lucien Sanderson to handle, rainbow" he flashed her an enchanting smile,leading to the exposure of his spectacular, well dented ultra white teeth.

Jena was starstruck by the mention of that name 'Lucien Sanderson' .

She recalled having heard her best friend Anna and some other of her friends talk about him plenty of times before.

She had heard that he was very ruthless when it comes to negotiations, known for closing even the most difficult deals. Actually, he got very famous when he closed a deal with the richest company in China.. That deal was said to be pretty diffucult considering the number of people who tried and failed but this man closed it without breaking a single sweat.

He was rumoured to be incredibly wealthy, with a sprawling business empire called "Sangco mega group of companies" but is fondly known as "Mega Enterprises" that spanned worldwide. He was also known for being very private, rarely seen in public, except events like this one and notoriously hard to reach. Some would say it was because of how handsome he was while some would say it was because of how busy he is at work. But despite all the rumours, no one really knew much about the man behind the business. All they knew was all they've heard.

And based on everything she heard, Lucien was quite the catch. It was no different from what she had her eyes on right now.

"Hold on did you just say... Lucien Sanderson?" Jena finally managed to speak after the unexpected introduction.She couldn't help asking. Lucien could notice a hint of excitement in her voice.

"The one and only, rainbow" he echoed.

"CEO of Mega Enterprises?" Jena asked again, to be sure. It all just seemed kinda surreal to her.

"I see someone's been taking her researches seriously"

"God! i've heard so much about you sir. My friends talk about you most of the time you're like the business god of the country and I can't believe you're standing right in front of me, right now, holding my hand and dancing with me. Oh my God."

Jena beamed with a mix of excitement and surprise. All she wanted right now was to enjoy this moment and make the most of it.

She could imagine the look on Anna's face when she tells her about this crazy turn of events.

Lucien could only smirk at her reaction. Not like he wasn't expecting it, actually that arrogant spirit of his unsurprisingly expected more.

"So you're a student?" he instantly changed the topic.

"No I graduated from college two years ago actually"

"What major?"

"Business... Stroke drama."

"So now what? You're a business woman?"Lucien's brow lifted.

"No, no.. Although I would love to be one. I work at a restaurant, as a waitress."

"And what if I don't believe you, rainbow?"

Jena's eyes narrowed. "Huh? Why sir? I have no literal reason to lie to a super incredible multi billioniare I just met. It doesn't speak good of me you know."

Jena tried to tease him. Luckily for her, her charm worked and she earned herself a ticket to see his perfect pearly whites again, but only for a short while this time.

"Doesn't mean you can't"

"And what exactly do you even know or think you know about me?.. Sir?"

"I know you're single." Lucien replied bravely. His fiery eyes staring deep into hers to catch her reaction.She didn't quite seem shocked.

"Oh really.. I supposed you'd say that" Jena replied bravely.

"Huh. Now that's why i'm pretty interested in getting to know you better"

"I guess that makes two of us then" Jena showcased her unique radiant smile before going ahead and introducing herself. "Well i'm Jena White, I have a sister and her name is Jessica White and we live together and..." Jena's heart suddenly skipped a bit "Oh my God! Oh my God I'm sorry sir I really have to go now"

She got so carried away with Lucien that she forgot all about her sister who called her thirty minutes ago! and queried her to come home.

She had already turned to leave. " Wait!" Lucien's deep voice echoed and Jena halted immediately. She took a deep breath and was about to say something but Lucien beat her to it.

"Do you believe in love at first sight?"
