Come brother

Tobin was left speechless for sometime as he thought of what to do in the present situation. All eyes were on him and Naomi kept touching him softly so he could move to the center of the scene with his sister. But there was no way he would do that. He barely survived when Bam came close to him not to talk of going close to a python this time. He prayed silently for Calvin to come so he could use that opportunity as an excuse.

He looked around and noticed the look of excitment on the faces of the people. Most of them have never seen the Young Lord Harold befor. Infact only Lady Beth was the social person in he family.

The crowd began to cheer as they urged him to move to the center to join his sister who had her right hand stretched forward beckoning to him.

"What does she expect me to do? Tobin whispered to Naomi

"Just go out there and play with her pet like she is doing. Maybe you could do one or two other tricks " Naomi replied. She seem to be very happy with the idea.

"Why will someone have such a huge snake as a pet? Tobin questioned himself as he couldn't believe what he just heard. This is a very ridiculous he lamented in his heart.

"Not today, I am not in the mood for this " Tobin said as he made a decision to turn back. He knew if he acted like Harold no one would dare question him.

There were noises of disapproval and disappointment immediately he turned his back against his sister. But Tobin didnt care. It would be better if the crowd feel disappointed than for him to make a full of himself.

He didn't take up to five steps when he felt a pair of soft hands on his shoulder. He looks back sharply because he knew it was not Naomi since she was walking beside him.

He came face to face with Lady Beth looking at him with a pleading face. He immediately freaked out as he reasoned that since she was so close to him it could only mean the python was close to him. But he was relieved when he discovered she was alone. But she already noticed the fear.

"Brother what is wrong? Lady Beth asked her voice in a whisper like she didnt want other people to hear her speaking.

"I am fine, I am not just in the mood for any if these. I just came out to see what you have been up to in the market" He replied with smile on his face

"It is unlike you to do that, the fact you cake out today is enough for me. Maybe a next time you will join me in mg performance " She bowed to him slightly befor leaving.

"Don't worry everyone, my brother has promised he would perform with me a next time he comes outside "

Tobin heard her announce as he he took his leave. He didn't make that promise and he wasnt thinking of fulfilling it. Why will she do that. Maybe she did it to save his face he reasoned.

Together with Naomi he left towards the gate. Due to the scene in the market alof of the people now recongise him and they showed their respect whenever they saw him.

"Why didn't you come out with your sister? . If I didn't know you I would have said you were scared. You were displaying some signs of fear" Naomi questioned him with a curious look on her face. Although she likes this new version of Harold there was just something off that she has not been able to place her hand on.

"I wasn't scared. I was just worried. My father would surely be angry with her for doing this. I am just worried that she doesn't care about how he feels " Tobin replied trying to be smart.

Naomi sighed not knowing what to really believe. Everyone in the house have gone beyond being worried for Lady Beth.

Tobin noticed a carriage coming towards them with an open roof with Calvin on of the horses and was relieved. Now he could leave this place to explore.

"What took you so long? Tobin questioned not really because he knew how much time he should have taken but because he just wanted to behave like someone with authority.

"My Lord, there is problem in the mansion and fear that we may need to return there " Calvin said jumping down from the horse with a worried look on his face..

"What is the problem? Tobin asked with a raised brow

Calvin had a look at Naomi first befor replying him with a shaky voice.

"Lady Naomi is being accused of manipulating you and your father as directed that she brought befor the family shrine as soon as possible " Calvin dropped the news looking worried.
