"Shall we?" asked Ira as he grabbed his knapsack, walked past the surprised sailors and climbed aboard the longboat. "C'mon, lads, I'm sure your captain would like to depart Wellington as soon as possible and wouldn't appreciate you taking time to frolic in the water," Ira said.

Potter hefted his knapsack and followed Ira, the longboat settling deeper into the water as he took his seat.

It took all four sailors to finally haul Blackbeard onto the pier, his yells and panicked threshing drawing attention to the fact that he could not swim either.

"They aren't eager to have us aboard the Catherine Rose," Ira said, watching Blackbeard scramble onto the pier.

Potter grunted, keeping watch with a wary eye.
