Chapter 13

As training continued to progress, Thomas found himself getting faster and stronger. An hour of weapons training no longer left him winded, and his muscles no longer ached after a long day.

Every single recruit in the training regiment was no longer soft and new. They had been stripped of their body fat and were slowly being hardened into elite warriors.

Thomas had also found himself making friends. Whenever the recruits had free time, he found himself lounging with Hal, Ivan, and the brothers Randy and Drew. Their small group quickly became inseparable. Anytime the recruits were allowed to go out into Terra Alta, Thomas explored with his friends.

The night almost always ended with the group having to hold Drew back. He wanted to fight anything and everything. It wasn’t just limited to people, but objects as well.

Thomas eyed Drew as he started barking at a dog who had approached them. “Why does he do that?”
