Disparity

In short, people from various worlds are invited to play real-life kingdom-building and try not to die and become subordinate themselves.

Through this complex game-like mechanism divides, people can be divided into 5 categories:

•Lord: Endowed with summoning powers, Lords can summon individuals through gates using tokens acquired by slaying any lifeform in the Cosmic Confluence. They gain a small portion of "exp" from their subordinates' hunts as well as their own hunt and can anchor themselves to their home place. (the place where they opened the portal to enter)

•Wanderers: Stripped of their summoning gates and lordly powers, Wanderers must rely on their own prowess to survive. They can accrue "exp" through hunting and possess the freedom to become subordinates of other Lords with fewer restrictions.

Furthermore, they can become subordinate to another lord with fewer restrictions than summons.

•Summons: Individuals who have perished and been resurrected by a Lord, Summons retain memories and abilities but start anew at level '0'. Summons are inexorably tethered to the Cosmic Confluence, their very existence intertwined with its ethereal fabric.

To be resurrected as a Summon, one must have traversed the realms of the Confluence, even if only briefly, leaving an indelible mark upon its shifting landscape. This connection serves as the conduit through which Lords wield their summoning powers, granting a second chance at life to them within the intricate tapestry of the Confluence's realms.

Their level and tier are also reset to '0' and have lost most of their skills and physique but retain their memories and abilities.

Memories often have holes in them, making them unable to recall some of it while abilities are mostly etched on one's soul, so they basically can not be removed until the soul doesn't enter the cycle of reincarnation.

•Natives: Those born within the Cosmic Confluence itself, Natives possess an inherent understanding of its workings and culture.

•Non-Awakens: Individuals unable to enter the Cosmic Confluence, relegated to their original universe, where they must rely on traditional methods of strength augmentation such as training and mana absorption..

Other than Non-Awakens, all remaining 4 categories of people can raise their level and tier, gain cases, and various other types of benefits of Cosmic Confluence.

Non-Awakens are only able to increase their strength through training and mana absorption like in cultivation novels.

"What! Hold up. So you are saying non-chosen people i.e. Non-Awakens can absorb mana. But where does this mana come from, like from resources that are found here?" Asked by David.

He was sweating a little from all the information that was dumped on him. Still, his higher intelligence stat showed its usage as he comprehended the knowledge and asked questions that came on the spot.

"Yes, they can utilize the gain found in Cosmic Confluence brought to them by others but still the vast majority just uses the mana that is prevalent in their home planet.

And with your world connected to Cosmic Confluence, I'm sure there will rise in it." Keira said, while her face didn't show much change in expression, confusion couldn't be felt through her words.

"Mana that is prevalent in their world itself? What are you talking about? There was no mana or such thing that was present in my world, only were mentioned in fantasies."

David became confused at this point. It was like he was missing something, he couldn't put a finger on.

It took Keira a full minute to figure out their miscommunication. As the realization dawned, an involuntary sigh escaped her lips.

"You probably happen to come from an area that has an extremely low concentration of mana in the environment for people of your world to not know about," Keira said and further continued her deduction.

"That also explains why you are so weak. Even the most backward and untalented individual in our society would be stronger than yours."

At her explanation, David found himself speechless.

As David grapples with this newfound knowledge, his confusion mounts. Keira's explanation sheds light on the stark disparity between their worlds—the abundance of mana in hers compared to the barren landscape of his own.

Not only did he find something new about the world, but also learned the harsh realization of how weak people from his planet were, David didn't know what to say.

"Say, what would be the stats of this weak individual of your race? And also how were you able to see through me as a weak individual?" David asked.

Intrigued by David's plight, Keira offers insights into the power differentials within her society, citing historical data and personal observations.

"The person in question had his lowest stats would be around 3 and an average of all status would be 5-6. That said I hadn't met him or anyone lower than him.

These are the data records in history books and even children of my race had more stats than him.

Only newborns till the age of 5 years have lower than 3 stats."

'What are you trying to say? That a five-year-old kid of your race could beat my ass black and blue.' David grumbled in mind after seeing the disparity of the world.

"As for how I'm able to tell, your aura is …like a weak baby, while your mana control of all over the place.

And mana quantity is so feeble that I even had a hard time sensing it after meeting for the first time, even though I still have some sense of my magi… mage-related class of my previous life."

There was a pause at the mention of her class, but David didn't pry on it.

Well, he couldn't in the first place after being fried so hard by his first summon itself on the first day of his entry to his magic-filled fantasy world.

While he was still recovering from an unintentional insult, Keira suddenly grabbed her spear behind her back and pulled in one swift motion.

This alerted David, causing him to stumble but successfully create a distance between but Keira never attacked him.

Her line of sight wasn't on him at all, she was looking in the sky.

Falling to her gaze, David also caught the problem that made her act this way.

Hovering the sky was a bird with bright red feathers and a size no more than a regular eagle on his planet.

But that was all the thing that was normal about it. Sparking jolts of electricity that ran all over its body, was a dead giveaway that it wasn't a normal bird.

As if seeing that it caught our attention, it dropped its passiveness and charged at us while folding its wing and increasing its speed.

And seeing how fast the bird was moving towards them, only one word came to David's mind.

'Oh! Fuck'

You all surely noticed changed writing style in certain sections of story. Well, I used AI to improved some of my paragraph and lines in this chapter hoping to improve my story.

Tell me in the comments if you like the editted chapter or would like to stick to my same poor litrature skills but without distribution in flow of writing.
