A Rich Man's Lover

This is a story about an open-relationship between an unwilling prostitute and a married man. He was in an open marriage, but she's not the wife. To be one of the many partners of a man committed to another woman was her role. She wanted to hide her feelings that were starting to grow, her longing to be by his side, and lastly herself, by virtue of an open relationship. However, it was all for naught. When everything came to light, she desired to end the relationship they had. Her last words echoed through his mind as she bid him farewell through her mournful eyes. "If only I hadn't met you, I wouldn't be hurting this badly."

February 2013: Gaffe

Given the hours to process what she had just been enlightened with, Syn still wouldn't be able to acknowledge the actuality of it. If she could exercise willful ignorance at that moment, she would have done so. However, her young mind was already in a turmoil that she couldn't possibly have control over.

She knew too much for it to be a poor attempt to humour her.

She knew too much that somehow, her mind had anticipated this very result unconsciously.

No words would be enough to describe the intensity of the blow that this situation had dealt in her composure.

The pain ceaselessly clawed at her heart as it hampered her breathing. It was merciless.

"Come on now. We need to talk, Miss Syn Rosenfeldt. You don't want your brothers to know the details, right?" Rolo asked the lady, ignoring the remorse that he felt for delivering such a piece of news.

He was no more than an employee. He didn't hold the decisions but deliver them.
