Gifts To New Friends

Paramedics showed up to the scene assuming it was a car accident and saw everyone was alright. Nicole had healed Light, herself and Jakub making sure no one was hurt after everything had ended. Emily had no wounds, scratches or scrapes, Swoopy made sure of that. The group sat alongside the same building's wall after the paramedics checked them to see if they were alright and a towing bot flew over to pick the car up. Emily and Jakub watched in excitement as it was like watching a giant version of the crane games people would play for stuffed animals. The bot grabbed the car and flew away, playing over a speaker for Light to hear telling her that they would be in contact.

"It's barely past midday and this is already going to be a long day." Light said sighing

"They're showing force and making sure we didn't forget about them." Said Jakub

"I'll never forget them. Not until they pay for what they did." Said Nicole

"I'm sorry you got brought into this Nicole." Emily told her.

"It's not your fault… none of us knew who Dr.Tress really was and none of us expected anyone to retaliate for it." Nicole replied.

"But had I never ran into you that day your dad would still be here and it would just be Jakub with me. I wouldn't have dragged you or Light along with us."

Nicole grabbed Emily's hands. "We're friends… and I'm really glad you bumped into me then. If you hadn't we never would have found out about Tress and he would still be killing students." She then hugged Emily as she began to cry.

The group of them sat there for about half an hour just trying to calm back down. They wondered how Reign even knew where they were. The whole time they were sitting there they all were wondering that same thing.

"Do you think we're being followed?" Jakub asked.

"Yeah, I can't tell from where but I have a feeling someone has been watching us since the day the brother showed up." Light replied.

Jakub spoke to Zip telepathically. "Zip summon." Zip still hiding from non reaper eyes flew around Jakub. Heightening his sense, Jakub thought maybe he could feel the presence of someone watching them.

Emily looked at Jakub as if she was questioning what he was doing without asking. She could see Zip but she was the only one aside from Jakub who could at that moment.

Jakub felt it, a presence. He could feel the gaze of someone staring down at them, so he looked toward rooftops. That's when he saw a figure on a roof, feminine in stature, with a hoodie on and black cargo pants. He just couldn't make out their face and that's when they noticed him looking toward them, they left.

"We were being watched, they were up on that roof." Jakub said while pointing toward it. "They ran away though."

"Could be coincidence but it was more than likely someone from Reign." Replied Light.

They all stood from the ground gathering their composure. Nicole had decided that she'd call her driver to take them around for the day since Light's car was done for.

"Good afternoon madam, where would you like to go?" Said the driver as they all got in the car.

"Good afternoon Thomas, take us to Dr.Reinhearts office please." Nicole answered

Eastern Lotte was still a good bit away from where they were at. They had concerns that someone could do the exact thing that just happened, again. They all sat in the back bunched together, fitting just perfectly even though Jakub was pushed up against the door.

"Hey uh this isn't really comfortable."

"Sucks to be you right now." Emily said while giggling next to him.

"I have plenty of room over here." Light said from the other door.

"Ladies need the space Jakub." Nicole said from between Emily and Light.

Jakub smacked his teeth and leaned his head on the window. He ended up falling asleep because he was so worn out from the fight. Emily also fell asleep but she leaned against Jakub's shoulder. They turned down the road toward the Doctors office, it was a few blocks away now. As they turned Jakub came off the window and his head now laid on top of Emily's head which was on his shoulder. Emily was so deep in her sleep she began drooling. Nicole bumped Light getting her attention and pointed at them. Light took her phone out and took a picture of a drooling Emily with both of their heads together, Light showed Nicole the picture.

"Oh my god it's such a cute picture." She giggled.

Emily jumped awake from being spooked by the giggle. As she jumped awake she flung Jakub's head up and he hit his head on the window.

"What the hell! What just happened?" Jakub asked.

Nicole and Light burst out laughing.

"Emily got scared and jumped awake. It kind of knocked you into the window."

"Why is my shirt wet?" He asked again

Emily wiped the drool from her mouth hiding that she ever had drooled in the first place.

Nicole and Light began laughing even harder.

"Go on Emms! Tell him why his shirt is wet." Nicole said jokingly

"I don't know what you're talking about." She replied. "Don't make me say it." She whispered.

"Here check this out Jakub!" Light said, reaching her hand behind Emily and Nicole to show Jakub the picture.

"Aww that's a cute pic- YOU DROOLED ON ME!" Jakub yelled at Emily.

"I'm sorry! I couldn't help it. I was exhausted."

"We're here madam." Thomas told Nicole.

"Thank you Thomas." She replied.

The group got out of the car and headed inside, where Amaya was sitting at the front desk once again.

"I can't believe you drooled on me." Jakub was still annoyed.

"How's it going gang?" Amaya asked. "Let me put the closed sign up."

"Emily drooled on me on the way here, She fell asleep on me." Jakub told her.

"Aww that's cute." Amaya said while giggling.

"Head downstairs we'll meet you guys down there."

This time the basement was set up differently. There were martial arts mats on the floor and wooden weapons on racks. The was a dry erase board that said different training exercises on it. Emily, Nicole and Light sat down on the mats and leaned against a wall. Jakub was standing in the middle of the mat jumping around and acting like he was fighting something.

"He's such a child." Said Emily.

"He's just having fun." Amaya said as she seemingly appeared out of nowhere scaring the three girls.

"When did you get here?" Emily asked.

"I was behind you guys for a while. While you were looking around the room I was standing right behind you." She replied.

The girls sat for a few minutes watching Jakub jump and mess around. They were waiting for Dr.Reinheart to come downstairs.

"By the way, my contact finished all of your conductors and they're here. He makes quick work especially for me. Jakub you said you wanted a weapon but didn't specify what you wanted. So yours is going to be a little unique and by unique I mean I had him design them a little old school. Since it's normal nowadays for people to play hero or villain there tend to be a lot of people around with weapons. Proper licensing for them is still a must but openly carrying them is not against the law anymore. Your swords were designed with that in mind. They both will be able to draw from your own mana supply and even store stolen mana. Causing the blades to take on the types of souls mana they have within them." Amaya informed them.

The doctor had finally come downstairs carrying some fancy looking equipment. He told them it was just to record the training sessions and that it's able to detect mana fluctuations during combat to see when someone is at their strongest. "So are you going to give them their conductors now or after?"

Amaya stood thinking, she had her hand on her chin as if she was pondering the thoughts hard. "Do you guys want them now?"

All four started nodding their heads in excitement. Amaya handed Light her pinky rings and instantly the rings started to glow an intense orange, the glow then subsided and synced with Light. The same happened when Nicole put her ring on her right middle finger but the glow had been green. Amaya then handed Emily her tourmaline necklace. It was beautiful. The necklace was black metal with a silver cage holding the rainbow glowing gem in the center. Emily put the necklace on and the rainbows glow exploded from the gem knocking everyone a little bit away from Emily. The glow had subsided but the gem never stopped shining brightly in all different colors.

Jakub stood there very excited and couldn't wait to get his.

"These are your swords." Amaya said as she laid a case down in front of him.

One of the swords had a sheath meant for the sword to be placed on your back. "This blade is known as a falcata and was used during the Hannibal days." Amaya told him. "The other blade is meant to be strapped around your lower back. This one is a mixture between a parrying dagger and a kukri. It has ridges in it just like a dagger and hooks meant for countering other blades, but is also the shape of the kukri a smaller deadly blade making these both able to be used at once."

Jakub was more than pleased with the pitch black blades with white leather hilts. They both had gems hanging from the bottom of the hilts. Amaya told him that Amethyst is what hung from the short blade and Aquamarine is what hung from the longer blade. He strapped the blades to his back and the same explosion that happened with Emily happened with his swords. He pulled the blades into his hands and both blades had a white glowing aura around the edges. The glow never went away because these swords were storing that mana into them. They were not stealing mana like Jakub himself does but it was flowing into the blades and back into Jakub and continued that rotation while he held them.

They all thanked Amaya over and over.

"I can't wait to train with these." Said Jakub as he was trying to look cool attempting to spin the blades.

Amaya smiled. "They're just gifts to new friends!"
