A Quest Of Honor

What was honor? What did it truly mean to be a great knight? Weylyn was not certain, as a descendant from a lineage of the kingdom's greatest knights, it seemed Weylyn's destiny was already set in stone. To many, it would seem Weylyn had been dealt a lot of tremendous honor, born into a family with a thousand year history of knighthood, Weylyn possessed natural gifts and great skill and had long already been named among the kingdom's greatest knights. However fate was an interesting thing and when disaster strikes, the fate of the Kinouri Empire rests on it's greatest knight, but of what use was a great knight who had long lost fate in her own kingdom? Weylyn finds herself with a destiny greater than what she had bargained for... With darkness looming and a quest of great consequence long prophesied, Weylyn must chose to either forego past grudges or be the very reason the mission fails and the empire is destroyed. __________________ ~Snippet~ He stared down at her, eyes aflame with his desire for her. Departing The Imperial Palace (Ch.35)

Emperor Vaeros and Rehan stared after Weylyn as she strode away and Rehan heaved a quiet sigh, feeling helpless at the situation.

"She will never forgive me." Emperor Vaeros said in a tone of resignation and Rehan sighed again, it ached his heart to see the Emperor and his sister in such a state.

But there was nothing he could do, Weylyn had always been decisive in her methods since childhood, no one could change her mind once it was set.

At the same time, Rehan understood Weylyn's feelings and they were valid.

"Do not take her words to heart...it is the grief speaking." Rehan comforted.

"And what does your grief wish to tell me Rey?" Emperor Vaeros asked knowingly.

Rehan was quiet for a moment, he could not exactly blame the Emperor for what happened to Ronan yet at the same time he wanted to.
