The day of the blind date

Calista was all set to leave. She just needed the information on where she had to be and precisely when. As if her thought was read she received a message from Joanna with the information.

-" Emrald bay, 8 pm "-

Joanna already told her about the place and time but still Calista was not able to get it in her head. She was nervous that all these pieces of information did not get registered.

It was 7:30 pm when they were finally done with the dress and makeup and it seems that it will take some time to reach emrald bay.

Calista was already on her way to grab a cab when she received the text from Joanna. She waited for a cab for a little more than ten minutes when she finally got one.

She got into the backseat and said "To emrald bay please". The driver nodded his head and drove off. She decided to check how long it was going to take her to reach the place. To her surprise the maps said it will take her another 45 minutes to reach the place.

She wasn't too worried about being late. After all she had decided to reject the guy she was going to meet and make him call off any future arrangements with her.

It was 8:25 and she had still not arrived. Is she planning to stand me up? Isac thought to himself. Time was just too precious for Isac. He could've reviewed multiple documents and get them signed during his wait. He has been waiting for her for the past 25 minutes.

Finally when Isac was just about to give up Calista entered with an awkward smile on her face. To be honest she was a little embarrassed to walk in that short dress. She shook off her thoughts and kept walking.

Luckily Calista was able to remember the name that Joanna had mentioned during their make up session. She walked upto a man who was sitting alone and he looked like he was waiting for someone.

She breathed a little and walked towards the man. "Excuse me. Are you Mr. Isac? " she asked as soon as she approached the man.

He lifted his head and got up. He was very tall. He was towering over Calista and looked straight in her eyes with no emotion.

"Ms.Joanna?" he asked. That's when it striked her. She was here on behalf of her best friend.

Calista just smiled and took a seat without saying anything. Isac was confused but he soon followed and sat down on the opposite side.

Calista had no intention of lying to Isac that she was Joanna. She already talked to Joanna about her plan and she had agreed to the idea.

"Sorry Mr. Isac I didn't want to dissapoint you but, my name is Calista and I'm Joanna's friend" Calista spoke without hesitation. She just wanted to get this done.

Isac's face changed. It looked like he was angry. Calista gulped, she was getting nervous and this person already looked angry to begin with but his face was turning black.

"I just wanted to let you know that she is not interested" Calista spoke quickly before she forgets what she was about to say.

"Thank you for taking the time to come here. Have a nice day" Calista spoke as she stood up and left the place.

She heaved a deep sigh. Finally she got through it. It was very difficult for her. That man Isac was just so scary to look at.

Now that she thought about it, she didn't give a single chance for Isac to talk.

She shook her head and left the place as soon as possible.
