When Maverick received Everly's message, he happened to be in a meeting with Byron.

Maverick made a gesture, indicating that the meeting was suspended.

Byron silently raised his cup and drank some water. Maverick and Everly still loved each other very much even though they had been in this relationship for a long time. Even one text message could make Maverick stop the meeting.
