Orena, Odarr

I walked towards the training hall entrance, waiting for the new souls waiting for them to be released into the soul land itself. Before I sighed, and realized my brother will most likely ignore me and move on. 'I am lucky I can track him.'

He will not know what I look like and move right past me without an ounce of care. I nodded my head in thought before wondering how much Karma he made for himself.

As the various souls floated out of the doors, some with mutations already showing and some with none. I quickly pinged and spotted a soul with no modifications before moving over to it and sighing that I would have to use his proper name. 'I hope he does not hate me as much as he does, dad.'

"Kai Minori," I said to the soul without an ounce of hiding. I watched as the soul spun in place before pinging me with intent, asking who I was and how I knew his name. I sighed and spoke my name for the first time in 5 years. "I am your sister Kai Naoki."

It was curious how you could tell it had an emotional reaction because there was no body when a soul moved. It was genuinely reacting to something it had been told. It pinged me this time with the intent of asking what I wanted. I promptly explained, "The family created a technique that was able to track souls entering the afterlife, and father and grandfather pinged you entering the soul land itself."

"The family would like to invite you to the family lands until you can make yourself a body before deciding what you want to do." I watched him float in space before pinging me, letting me know he will follow me. As I turned around, he pinged me with a question, "How many family members are currently at the house?"

I received a ping in confirmation before explaining how many people were at the main house. "There are currently 76 soul warriors and 3 gods of the low-class, and my intended is a medium-class god."

I was not surprised when I had received a ping of shock. "Yes, they are all blood related except for my intended."

As we made our way home, he kept pinging me with various questions, and I answered them as quickly

as possible. I was not surprised to see our father standing outside the gates with his arms open, about to give the soul a hug. "Welcome home, my son."

As the soul hesitated before floating past the man but rubbing against him. I understood what that meant; he was not ready to hug, but he had accepted his place in the family and enjoyed his presence.

I watched my father tear up like a big baby before he said to me with a watery smile, "He still loves Naoki."

"Yes, he does, father," I replied before hunting down my husband to be. I was not surprised to see him sitting in the guest room reading a book that one of the family's soul warriors wrote. I jumped at him and wrapped my arms around him before laying my head in his lap and silently crying because if my brother did not have kids, it meant that my family line had died out. I felt him slowly pat my head lovingly.

"it's alright, Orena" he slowly started humming a little song for me while I slowly fell asleep.

---POV change Odarr---

I was not surprised when she had fallen asleep because, from what I understand, it sounds like their family line is in danger of dying off. I, for some reason, never considered if continuing my family line was necessary. I mean, I did, but with a surrogate, I never had gotten married. I watched as a new soul floated in the room before getting pinged with an obvious question. "Name is Odarr, and I am the man who is going to marry your sister and one of the gods that are a part of your family… I am in no way related to you."

As the soul floated there, most likely thinking on my words before pinging me with a magical feeling, "are you asking what my domains are?"

When I received a ping informing me that was the case, I snorted. "War and Agriculture and just so you know the three gods of your family that are not Orena are the gods of water earth air… respectfully."

"Orena has chosen the domains of motherhood and smithing," I informed the soul before it could ask its next obvious question.

I was surprised that I got a ping that was almost a thank you "are you thanking me for taking care of Orena?"

When I had received a ping pretty much saying yes, I snorted, "you do not need to thank me at all because, in my opinion, there was no way I would not take care of her."

It pinged in question about our bodies from what I could work out "your family loves to be Oni, and Orena approached me because I was an Oni as well."

"Your whole family decided that they all wanted to be Oni, and you have no idea it is to deal with a family of Oni," I replied before deciding to inform him. "Be careful about the body you choose. It will physically affect you. All the myths about Oni affect the body in Soul land."

"same with all the other mystical creatures in Soul land will be affected by the myths about them" I saw the soul float off after I had informed him about it.

"he is going to pick Oni as well; I can already tell," I sighed aloud before I heard Orena giggling from my lap.

"would it truly be so bad if we had another Oni in the clan," she asked me curiously at my opinion.

"do not start with me about that. I have a bet for you," I spoke after informing her about a bet.

She looked at me curiously about what we could be betting "go on."

"I bet your brother is a medium god like you and me," I informed her.

"And what are we betting," she asked like a pleased cat.

"Satisfaction," I informed her, not bothering to make a bet for anything.

"I will bet he will be a low god," she said, confident in her brother but not confident enough to bet on high god.

I kissed her on the lips before pulling her into my lap. "I can not wait till we are even leveled so I can claim you properly."
