Chapter 36: Final Test

Half a month after the second test, it was finally the long-awaited moment, the third test of the Chunin exams.

As the biggest political spectacle after the First Five Kage Summit and First Ninja World War, this Chunin exam certainly attracted the attention of everyone in the ninja world.

The streets of Iwagakure were crowded with civilians and even some ninjas from all over the world.

Probably with the recent conflict in the second exam where a lot of blood was spilled in a heavy fight between the teams from both villages, Iwagakure may have thought that Kirigakure had been thinking of using some method, either explicitly or secretly, in an attempt to screw up these Chunin exam being held in their village, which would clearly leave Iwagakure in a very bad situation if something were to go wrong in such an important event that is watched by the 5 major shinobi nations as well as the most important people in the ninja world.

Today finally, the third and final test of the Chunin exam was held as planned.

At the appointed place, the first group of ninjas had already entered the stadium where the fights were going to take place.

The stadium was already crowded with people from all over the ninja world.

But that did not stop him from being one of the most powerful Kages and ninjas today... it was said that the only Kage that surpassed the third Mizukage was the third Raikage, considered the strongest Raikage and the strongest ninja today, a man feared and respected throughout the ninja world.

On the high platform at the edge of the stadium, the third Mizukage approached to greet Onoki, with some creases on his face and although he extended out his hand to greet him and did not hit the smiling Tsuchikage, but it was obvious that when he saw Ōnoki's face, he could not help but want to kill him, but he controlled his impulses and feigned to perfection a pleasant and kind expression on his face.

Deciding to intervene to avoid a more awkward situation, the third Kazekage approached to greet Ōnoki.

"... Ah, hello, Kazekage" greeted Ōnoki happily accepting his intervention to avoid trouble and to be able to remind himself not to lose his temper and to keep a good attitude despite his annoyance.

" Thank you again for your cooperation to preserve the safety in these exams" added the Tsuchikage.

After everyone greeted each other the Tsuchikage invited them all to sit down.

Nodding, they all sat in their chairs in silence waiting for the first combat of the first round of the third round of the Chunin exams to begin.

As the third Tsuchikage announced the start, Arata Mufato, the chief examiner of the third test, stood on the stage and while staring at the participating ninja said loudly: "You already know the rules, so I won't repeat them!"

"Now the names of the two ninjas who will face each other in the first match will be announced" he added and after he finished speaking, he pointed his finger at the high wall in the stadium where an electronic display screen was located.

"When your name appears on the screen come down here and get ready to start when I authorize you!" said the examiner receiving a simple nod from the ninjas present.

Soon the name of the participants of the first combat of this first round appeared on the electronic screen.

Rasa, who stood and watched the screen, raised his eyebrows.

Unexpectedly, the first match was between Konoha and Kumo, more interestingly, the Konoha ninja was from the Uchiha clan.

Although what really surprised Rasa was that apparently there had been no cheating in the selection of the fighters, he had thought that the third Tsuchikage was going to take advantage of arranging things to put an Iwa ninja in the first fight to draw the attention of those present, but it seems that he was wrong.

The Uchiha looked calm and his black eyes only showed a cold look almost as if he knew that this fight was already won while his rival Kumo ninja, Aitime Dagnar was more energetic, after all, he seemed very interested in facing one of the famous Uchiha, which was not surprising for the crazy fight lovers of Kumogakure.

When the examiner finally announced the start of the fight, both ninjas attacked instantly using their own techniques, the Uchiha showed his Sharingan with two tomoe in each of his eyes and focused on attacking with fire jutsus...

On the other hand, the Kumo ninja was not intimidated and used mostly lightning jutsus that managed to keep him on par with the Uchiha.

The fight at the beginning was balanced, both had a good level and gave an impressive demonstration of strength, to the point that Nomad and Rumia who were next to Rasa wondered if they were at the level of those two ninjas...

Nomad came to the conclusion that he could have a chance to win but he would get badly hurt while Rumia only denied it with a downcast head knowing that she didn't have much chance in a confrontation like that.

A few moments passed and both ninjas in the fight seemed to be getting exhausted of using Jutsus continuously...

And it was then that the Uchiha began to gain ground, his taijutsu and kunai skills were clearly superior to the Kumo ninja and this was now giving him a clear advantage in the fight.

The Uchiha waved his arms very skillfully, and threw six kunai that turned into black figures, after colliding in the air, they shot in all directions at a great speed finally reaching the Kumo ninja who had been skillfully evading their attacks so far.

Without wasting any time, the Uchiha who had already achieved his goal raised his hand and fired several more kunai shots.

After repeating this several times, the Kumo ninja was full of wounds all over his body and blood was constantly dripping on the ground, despite this, he was still on his feet.

But it wasn't long before he could no longer bear his numerous wounds and before the Uchiha could strike one more blow to finally finish him off he fell unconscious to the ground.

"The winner, Uchiha Shasume!" the examiner announced the result directly as he saw that the Kumo ninja could no longer continue.

The silent auditorium immediately erupted, as if to burst the ears of cheers.

All these cheers were for the Uchiha who was a bit tired and agitated but still with a serious and cold expression on his face.

The third Hokage who sat on the high platform conversed friendly with the third Raikage who was less than happy with the result of the match, but even he admitted the good level shown by the Uchiha.
