51. Omake: Ei and the Dwarves' second co-op Project - Maguu Kenki

On a certain day at the Inazuma training grounds, instead of training the crowd surrounds a huge figure that looks like a giant that dons a samurai armor with a giant horned oni mask split in half and serves as the giant's shoulder guards that currently covers the giant in it's deactivated state.

Yes it is deactivated meaning that the giant is not a living being but a mechanical one made with Ei's instructions and a group of dwarven craftsmen as a second project after the first one which is Ei's Avatar puppet.

They made it for training purposes and to improve the dwarves' abilities in mechanical craftsmanship. With the dwarves enthusiasm, they were able to finish it within 2 weeks due to it's combined mechanical and magical nature.

Ei named it Maguu Kenki after the dwarves call it The Puppet Sword Demon which is quite a long name, then Ei asks the head of the project Rugui " Are all final checks done?"

and Rugui nods and says " It is done Shogun-sama"

Then with Ei's nod, the dwarves activated Maguu Kenki and the oni mask lits up its eyes and splits up in half to move on each side while floating and the giant mechanical puppet rises up like other puppets being lifted up by their strings.

Rugui asks his colleagues if there are any more issues and all of them said no with their smiles getting bigger and bigger.

" We did it! We finally completed it!", a young dwarf screams out of excitement since he was just a new member of the group and wasn't able to participate on the first one.

Cheers of success was heard throughout the training area as the dwarves finally let go of their tensions and Rugui shouted, " It ain't over yet! We have yet to see Maguu Kenki's movements and attack patterns to see if it passes the the second test!" then he turns to Ei for her permission and he got it with her nod.

Then the dwarves ran back to their positions and Rugui finally activates the Combat mode of Maguu Kenki.

One dwarf with a crossbow shoots and the mechanical puppet suddenly reacts with its shoulder guard instantly merge into one oni mask and blocks the bolt flying towards it.

Another dwarf sends a dummy and Maguu Kenki destroys it with a rotating attack, then another dummy was sent but this time it was keeping distance from Maguu Kenki and the puppet solves it with a dash assisted by the wind element.

Combat dummies attacks and it dodges by leaving an elemental clone while dashing backward.

Maguu Kenki did this twice with two different elements as it was designed to wield both wind and ice element.

The audience were all amazed by the performance but later scream in terror when they found out that it will be their training partner from now on under the orders of Ei.

Though the one who truly enjoyed fighting Maguu Kenki is no other than Tomoe herself after she found out that the mechanical puppet has a power output level adjusting function and Rewind function from Ei, causing it to restore itself like Time rewinded on the Maguu Kenki after getting defeated and received damages on its body.
