Preparing for raid

Once they reached the location shastri went aside to do the investigation. Viraj could not yell at shastri. He loved his sister a lot. In fact their whole family had pampered her a lot because of which she had gained a reckless side. Even though sometimes viraj wanted to scold his sister, he could not.

But shastri was not concerned about viraj. He had come here to help viraj in his investigation. He would conclude the investigation soon enough to go home and sleep.

He began to see the where the bike had come from. The bike had come from the way of village to the Ghats. There were no tire prints as it was a concrete road. Then he asked viraj:

"Where has the bike been kept?"

"It is near the traffic police station sir."

"Get me a photo of it. Did you find anything suspicious when you searched the surroundings once again?"

"No sir. As you can see it is a crash between the bike and the passenger bus. Many of the items we found belonged to the passengers."

"Did you check the passengers belonging?"

"No Sir. I did not feel it was necessary"

"Ok then" Shastri said in disappointment. "What was the state bike when you found it? Whether it was on or off?

"Sir it was offed sir. But the engine was heated. So I think it was still in the gear"

"The bastards planned these too well." Shastri said exasperatedly. Then he said to viraj who was still in confusion "Ok let us go to the station now. Have you called the jone's relatives and friends to come over?"

"Sir. We have already asked the questions. Do you want to investigate them again?"

"Yeah. I think so. There are new points which have come up in the course of my investigation which I have to confirm with them."

"Ok" Viraj shook his head confusedly. He had done investigation for days he had considered it as murder. But shastri had only worked from morning to afternoon and had come with many points suggesting otherwise. It was somewhat frustrating.

"Wait a minute. I need to call somebody urgently for some information. I will be right back." Then without waiting for Viraj he began walking away while typing numbers in his phone.

After waiting for some minutes Viraj saw shastri coming back. There was a big smile on his face.

"Well, Let us go." seeing Viraj still looking him dumbly shastri said.

During the whole way of the journey shastri was smiling to himself and began humming tunes. Viraj had an urge to ask what was going on but kept silent.

As they reached the police station early they saw that the jone's family and friends had not yet arrived for the investigation. Viraj smiled embarrassedly.

Suddenly one cop came near and whispered at shastri's ear. Hearing that shastri began laughing. Viraj began wondering when his subordinate had started working under shastri.

But he was no time to ponder over that because shastri came over said," I am going to give you one tip. If you make a raid on basis of that tip I think you will be promoted."

"Are you sure sir? You are not kidding right?"

"No.I am not joking with you. But he may escape if you stay here for some more time" shastri said smiling.

"But if I went to the raid who will handle the investigation here?"

"Me. Don't forget I was your senior sometime before."

"Ok Sir. Where do you want me to raid sir?"

"Come here." Shastri laughed and whispered in his ear. Hearing that viraj looked shastri with dumbfounded eyes and asked uncertainly," Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I am sure"

Seeing shastri's confident eyes viraj could not say anything.

"Ok. Then that is settled. You can go with you team for raid. Just assign some cops who can help me in the investigation."

"Ok sir" said viraj with a haggard look on his face.

After he assigned the cops for shastri, Viraj and his subordinates went for the raid.

Shastri sat in a bench and dozed off. The wait for jone's fiancé and friends had begun.
