Chapter 15

"Well, see you all later." Cyrus said as he left with a copy of the marriage contract, likely going to his home.

Rias Gremory wasn't sure what to make of the transfer student, well more like she wasn't sure what to make of her feeling concerning him. She may not exactly be an expert on feelings, her expertises lay more along the lines of anime and making things go boom with her power of destruction, but she was pretty sure that she had a crush on the muscular student.

It wasn't that surprising; Cyrus was strong, tall, muscular and going by the method he used to reject her peerage offer, a true man of culture. She would also say that he was friendly but from what she heard he didn't spend any time with anyone other than Kiryuu Aika during school, rather shocking considering how friendly he had been with her, Sona and the lady Leviathan. Guess he was unequally friendly? Was that a thing?

"Ara Ara, you look like you are quite deep in thoughts, president." The voice of her queen snapped Rias out of her thoughts, remembering she had work to do.

"So Koneko, Kiba; what did you think of Cyrus?" She asked her rook and knight. She might have asked his help for her marriage contract but the meeting was still also about having him meet the rest of her peerage.

Except for Gasper who was still sealed. Not that the young dhampire had any desire to interact with anything that didn't have a screen in the first place.

"He seems strong. He has the hands of a warrior." Kiba said and Rias smiled, pretending to understand what her knight said. Maybe leaving him with her brother's knight hadn't been the best decision of her life.

"He was… warm." Her rook said, gathering the attention of everyone in the room on her.

"Warm?" Akeno asked, an impish smile on her face while Koneko nodded.

"Warm. And big, like the sun. He felt like the sun." The tiny rook said before returning to stuffing her face with sweets.

"Not… exactly the words I would use but I guess she might be right." Kiba said while awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

"He is quite strong though, especially if what you two said about the fight between him and the fallen angels is true."

"It is but I am not sure we can call that a fight. When we arrived he was literally standing on top of one of them without a single scratch on him." Akeno said before shuddering with a massive blush on her cheeks. A combination of her hate of fallen mixed with her sadistic and masochistic desires, Cyrus might want to cover his ass around her queen.

"She is right. Honestly I would like to recruit him but I don't think he would appreciate being bothered about that again after refusing." She said and slouched on her chair. Most of her worries would have been over if Cyrus had accepted being a part of her peerage but she understood his reason, even if she didn't like it. A human who had some ties to devils was more warmly welcomed than an actual devil.

"Well, at the very least we should make sure we are ready for any wrenches that might be thrown in our way. I want you all to train a bit harder from now on." She said to her peerage who merely nodded with smiles.

Honestly, it was about time she took her own advice as well. Maybe her mother would give her some pointers with the power of destruction. Talking to her would be far less troublesome than talking to her sibling after all.

"So, this book will tell me about what magic I will be good at?" Aika asked Cyrus as she looked at the leather clad tome in her hand while walking to Cyrus' house.

"Well, you can become good in any magic with enough practice but yeah, these ones will take less effort for you to become good at them." He said with a shrug, making his muscles move very nicely.

"How does it do that?"

"Magic."

"…why did I expect a different answer I wonder." Aika said with a sigh, ignoring the cheeky smirk Cyrus was sending down at her.

"So, how do I do this?" She asked only for the book to start glowing. After the glow dimmed, the book had changed from brown leather to a far darker black color and even seemed to look and feel more akin to snake skin.

"Cool." That was all she could say cause to be honest, what else could she have said.

"Well, open it. Let's see what inside." Cyrus said as he patted her on her shoulder, almost making her stumble. With a quick glare that lacked any amount of heat, she opened the book and saw the contents in it.

"Sex magic…"

"As expected."

"Jinxes, curses, chaos magic… necromancy… and dark arts." She ended reading with a lump in her throat. This… this wasn't what she was expecting.

"Huh so these are the things you'll learn, cool." Cyrus on the other hand didn't seem to mind the fact that her affinities had identified her as some sort of main villainess in a magic novel.

"I.. don't think 'cool' is the word I would use." She said, not sure how to feel about this revelation but happy that Cyrus was trying to be supportive.

"I think it's cool. The darker magics like these tend to have many interesting powers to them. Not to mention it looks like you can have undead minions."

"Like some sort of villain."

"I think you would look very hot as a villain." Cyrus laughed and Aika simply hit his arm, likely hurting herself far more than she hurt him.

"Not to mention you still have sex magic, that sounds fun. Also you can combine it with curses and jinxes in order to turn the bitches from the Kendo club into your personal slaves."

"Don't tempt me." She grumbled. The thought of having Murayama and Katase worshipping her as she looked down at them with disdain and Cyrus at her side was far more enticing than she would like to admit.

"Anyway, we can start training. Since we are home." Cyrus said with a laugh and opened his door.

"Hey there!" Only to meet with a guy with yellow bangs and a black goatee.

Cyrus shut the door back down.
