"Mrs. Lu suffered a mild stroke." Alexander's world crumbles down as he looks at her mother's limp body, tubes on her mouth and needles poking her skin. He did try to fix the situation as soon as he can but maybe he was distracted.

Vanessa urges Alexander to eat. " Come on! I can take care of a sick person! You can't get sick!" She knows how Alexander loves his mother and it breaks her heart to see her childhood friend like this. She usually sees him as a capable man. Ready to fight the world as long as we has his views and principles qith him. But Alexander now is different, unshaven, wears his clothes feom yesterday and has dark circles around his eyes.

He grabs the food Vanessa is offering him and takes a bite. He smiled. "I will finish this battle against father. I should have finished this a long time ago." He looks his mother loving and holds her hand. "I will not leave you Mom. I will fix this I swear. I will make sure that the merging of the two families will not happen. I know that father is pressuring you. I will not let that happen again."

Vanessa stands. "I am part of this problem. I should have been more responsible and braver. If only I had fight with what I think I am capable of, Auntie should not be in here."
