That was not how his sister sounded. Nope, not her. And he knew exactly who it was.

"Everything you've done or tried to do until now is fortunately fine. So, listen up and do as I say if you value the lives of you and your friends-"

"Now you are gonna be listening to me. Whoever you are and whatever game of yours this is, you'll be facing the consequences soon." He continued, "All I wanted till now was solid evidence to get you caught red-handed, and guess what, you've just helped me out with that."

There was a pause, and not long after, he heard laughter from both the distance and through his phone. He turned to the direction where the voice was heard before quickly turning his gaze at where they were heading towards which some other people in their surroundings did too as it was quite loud. The laughter died and the woman on the phone spoke up,

"Sorry about that, it was so unexpected that it got me cracking so loud." She managed to say as she got her breath back in control, "I did not expect you'd make such a useless move. Honestly, did you think we- who did all of these things to keep track of your activities just to make sure you don't spill a word about us- wouldn't know how to keep it away from the authorities? " She scoffed, "Well, try hearing the recording you turned on before attending the call, you'll hear nothing."

Just then, there were some muffled noises heard followed by a different voice.

"Lucas Eriksen, isn't it? Listen, first of all, we're terribly sorry for putting you in such a situation. Right now, all you need is an explanation and you'll get it soon. So please, until then, we want you to not make any move related to this. And even if you do, there's no use because we'll stop this news from reaching any authorities no matter what you do. All we want you to do is to be patient. Hope you understand that this is for your own security and we'll meet again soon, very soon."

The line went dead.

'𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?' Lucas wondered, '𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯? 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯?' He continued in his tracks and towards their gate as he noticed that an hour flew by pretty quick.

"For the love of God, will you please stop acting like a villain from a mystery movie?" Amelia huffed at the younger beside her after she'd ended the call. "This is no more just-for-fun, Evie. This has just got more serious than ever. You think our money can't stop this matter from leaking to any kind of media or whatever dumb authority these men might try to report us to? "

"I never thought of it that way ... - But yeah, it sure will, so why are we doing this?" She raised an eyebrow at the one seated beside her.

"Things turned from just the both of us being the ones getting out of this problem to all those men being killed if we don't help them out."

"And as usual, I did not understand a word you just said."

Amelia huffed, "I mean, Victor is targeting those innocent men now. As you know, he has no source of information about us so he'll take every small clue he gets serious. I don't know how he got to know about us having an encounter with them but since he did, they'll be his number one target right now. Tracking us down and locating us could be almost impossible for him, but in the case of those Six, It's a piece of cake. Once he gets a hold of them, he'll want to know about what we're up to. And it's obvious that none of them would know a thing about that. Once Victor doesn't get what he wants, you know very well what he does. "

Evelyn nodded, "You should've just said that Victor's got his eye on them, and that now they're gonna be murdered soon."

Amelia was so done with this girl. She sighed out loud, "So apparently, we're gonna be helping them to get out of the life-or-death situation they're in right now."

"And why are we gonna be doing that again?"

"What do you mean 'Why are we gonna be doing that'?! It's because of us they're in trouble right now!"

"Correction: it was all just a coincidence we aren't responsible for. So I don't get why we're helping them out. If that's their fate, then so be it."

"How heartless can a person be? They wouldn't be in this situation right now if you never thought the van was ours."

"I never told you the van was ours, you're the one who dragged me inside."

"But that doesn't--"

"Listen, Amie, don't you think we already have a lot of issues that are yet to be solved, and taking responsibility for their problem and helping them out could be more of a pressure on us?" She turned to face Amelia.

"It will, but ... they're innocent. The person that's behind them right now is a monster." She lowered her head, "And they don't even know any of this. What if we explain the situation to them and then we can-" Her sentence was cut short by the younger interrupting.

"We can help them out if they're just normal people. But no, they're artists. What's more? They're MZD, a worldwide well-known boy band." Evelyn said, "Amelia, sometimes, you should put yourself before others. And for how much you're caring about them being alive right now, look at what they think of you, a stalker. "

"And that's because they don't know who we are--"

The younger interrupted again, "I think you should consider what I said, just give it a thought and you'll know what I mean. We'll be leaving this place soon, it's about time the flight takes off, tell me when you're ready, okay?"

The latter hummed as a response and Evelyn turned away and continued what she was doing, only for her to look back at the elder who sulked in her seat and say, "Hey, look here." She gained her attention, "All this time I've been doing as you said- you know I always will- and that's because you're elder and all your decisions make sense to me. But this one's just too much for it to be called our fault, okay? Just this once, listen to me."

Amelia nodded and turned back to her seat.

Ten minutes later, the elder among the two stood up.

"I think it's time for us to leave."

"Oh, looks like you've finally made a decision." Evelyn stood up as well after getting her stuff and smiled, "Now, that you're all calm and clear, let's get going. We've got a lot of things up ahead and I'm glad you've made a decision now. "

"Of Course I did, and it's all thanks to you."

"Glad to hear that." Evelyn replied, "After all, I don't think those dumb men deserve our help."

"Who said that? We're gonna be helping them out no matter what," she said as she started to walk towards their gate, leaving behind the younger who was surprised but later managed to catch up with her.
