Chapter 145

Miguel's pov

I allowed Mond rant out his frustration on me without doing anything to stop him from doing so.

He's right to feel left out. Right to think I don't trust him enough to rely on him.

Right to think am only selfishly keeping things to myself without any thoughts of sharing it with others.

*

It's being four months since Mond found out about my pregnancy.

Four months of being pampered by Mond and Solomon to the point of being mad.

They don't allow me do anything. Not even to carry a single book.

To them everything is heavy for me.

My stomach is now big, too big I have to wear three layers of two larger than life shirts to cover my pregnant self from the world.

Am not covering my baby bump because am ashamed of them, rather am more concerned on what the odd people of this town will do if they're to find out about my pregnancy.

"Mom am off to work," I call out to her.

"Are you sure you can mange walking there in your state? you need rest," mom gives my stomach a concerned look "You might be due to deliver in a short while. It's not advisable to walk on the streets now in case the cramps starts."

The issue of giving birth have been one I skim over because I don't want to be lost in thoughts of how to do the impossible.

Females deliver through their genitals which expands as the baby in the womb expands, but right now I've not seen any Improvement in my own organ.

The hole in it haven't expanded like I thought it will. Right now am lost on how possible it is for Me to give birth to my baby through that small hole.

Will it be painful?

"What are you thinking of so seriously you didn't hear my question?" mom asked with a raised a brow.

" Nothing," I smiled. It's of no use telling her my thoughts. If anything it will make her worry more than she should.

" You're still stubborn about going to work?" she asked as if somehow her words might make me change my mind about going to work today.

"I promise. Today will be my last day at the library. I will rest in bed till the goddess thinks it's fitting I deliver."

Mother looks at me for a long time before she nods "I trust you to respect your words Miguel," she pecks me my forehead "don't be afraid. A way will be found."

I don't know how she knew am having a little problem when thinking on my pregnancy and Its delivery.

"I hope so,"

I open the door, and started my slow walk to the library. Before it takes me not more than ten minutes to arrive at the library, but now it takes me more than thirty minutes to arrive there.

*

"Told you he will come for work today," Mond stretched his open palm towards Solomon's "pay up your dues young man."

"You both placed a bet on me?" I raised a brow in question.

Mond shrugs "Solomon says you won't be here today, but I believed otherwise. Turns out I was right in my speculations," he says a bit too giddy.

" Am glad my arrival here today did put a smile on someone's face," I said with a roll of my eyes.

" Pay up love," he still have his hand stretched towards Solomon "it's not my fault you lost the bet."

Leaving the couples to their own devices, I walked towards my position on the library.

Mond had Solomon build a plump chair for me when I told him of how uncomfortable I am on the other chairs.

I sat down, and got ready to check out books for people.

Like always, the first male to walk in is the one who've been frequenting our library for close to a month now.

He checks out a book, and checks it in the next day.

Most times he buys more than ten copies of books. His actions making me to really wonder on the possibilities of him reading all Those books at once. It just isn't possible at all.

"Good morning," he smiles at me.

"Good morning," I mirror his smile despite how unhappy I am .

I don't know why, but my mood seems to get worse these days.

He placed the book he checked out yesterday on my table.

"Did you enjoy reading our intresting book?" I won't lie. I've not read the book, not at all.

"I don't read for pleasure. I read for a reason." He walks towards the shelves.

I look at the peculiar male as he searched for a book to take home today.

Today he's putting on black tight jeans and a loose top.His red hair was slicked to a side( yes, he's The only frequent person from this town) making him look really deadly.

He might be handsome, but he holds no candle to my mates; not at all.

My mates are more handsome than he can ever be.

"Am still not sure of his purpose here," Mond leans on closer to whisper to my ears. Probably to avoid our odd customer hearing anything of our conversations

"I think he have a reason for being here."

I highly doubt he's here for reading. There must be a hidden agenda.

One he harbours in his heart.

Mond nods with a frown "whatever his reasons might be. It won't escape from the all knowing Mond."

I chuckle despite the heaviness of my stomach " I highly doubt anything can escape from your knowing eyes."

" What are you two seriously plotting like this?" Solomon raised a brow at us " it's not always a good thing when you two plot together. Disaster always strikes."

By his words, I know he's talking about the time I and Mond pranked him.

"It's not our fault you turned out to be a sissy," Mond pursed his lips.
