Chapter 6: The Stunning Daniels

Kelvin, unable to contain his enthusiasm any longer, he smiled openly as he bit his lower lip. "I have to look my best," he muttered to himself as he planned to rifled through his closet in looking for something to wear. "I don't want to mess this up."

This was his chance to make an impression, to see Alisha again and learn more about her. He had to be bold, take risks, and put himself out there - all for the sake of that entrancing voice and the mystery that surrounded her.

Maya couldn't help but wonder what was going on in Kelvin's head. She had seen that smile before, and she knew that look all too well - it was the look of a man hopelessly smitten. With a roll of her eyes, she decided to confront him about it.

"Hope you're not planning on feeding the witches to death at the feast?" she jibed, half-joking but half-serious.

"What the hell sis?!" Joel scoffed.

Kelvin laughed, shaking his head. "Of course not, Maya. I'm just excited to be there," he said sheepishly.

"Kelvin, the Demi god vampire, has spoken," Joel added.

Maya then took on a more serious tone. "But in all seriousness, Kelvin, do you remember all the rules for attending a witch's ceremony?" she asked pointedly.

Kelvin raised an eyebrow. "Of course, I've lived long enough to know all the histories and customs of witchcraft. I wouldn't break any rules or offend anyone."

Maya nodded, pleased with his response. "Good, because disrespecting the witches or their traditions can have severe consequences. And we don't want to incur their wrath."

Kelvin nodded soberly, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I'll be on my best behavior, Maya. I promise."

"Good," Maya said, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Just remember, we're guests in their world. We need to be respectful and humble."

Kelvin nodded again, taking in Maya's words of wisdom. He knew that she was right, but even though she didn't say anything he still wouldn't cause trouble because of Alisha.

Maya was certain that when it came to matters of the heart, Kelvin was an enigma. So, instead of delving into that unknown territory, she decided to steer clear of the subject altogether.

She felt like Kelvin had been softer overnight.

Kelvin, as Maya knew him fifteen years ago, was never one to take orders or advice from her, especially not without a struggle. However, to her surprise, he listened to her advice this time, breaking the usual pattern. It left Maya feeling bewildered and amazed at the same time.

The day turned dark quickly like a switch was flicked, bringing in a sudden storm and a chilling silence with it.

It was already time to leave for the ceremony. Kelvin sauntered down from his room to the living room where Joel was waiting. He looked stunning in his navy blue tuxedo, which complemented his striking eyes and chiselled features. Joel couldn't help but compliment Kelvin's sense of style and his perfectly tailored suit.

Kelvin, true to form, didn't let Joel win any challenge, including this - he was dressed to impress. As Joel admired him, he said jokingly, 'you won't let me win a challenge, will you?,' praising Kelvin for his perfect fashion sense.

They laughed as they await Maya to join them before taking their leave. Few minutes later Maya walked towards them from the Stairs.

Maya was truly the embodiment of enduring beauty. Despite the passage of thousands of years, her radiance never faded. Her eyes were a mesmerizing shade of emerald green that sparkled like the finest jewels. Her hair was a cascade of jet black locks, flowing down her back like a river of silk. Standing at an impressive height of 6 feet, her frame was statuesque and her skin possessed an otherworldly smoothness that accentuated her grace and elegance.

Her voice was like honey, smooth and velvety, leaving an indelible impression on anyone who had the pleasure of listening to it. Her movements were graceful and fluid, almost like she was in a never-ending dance.

Maya's beauty was truly unrivaled, and she was considered to be one of the most beautiful women in all of Ratel city. Her timeless radiance and elegance set her apart from others and made her a true epitome of everlasting beauty.

The stunning Maya mesmerized them as she walked into the room donning a beautiful biro blue gown. The color perfectly complemented her skin tone and brought out the radiance of her complexion. The dress hugged her curves in all the right places, accentuating her figure and adding to her captivating charm.

The lustrous fabric glimmered as she moved, making her look almost ethereal.

When Kelvin and Joel saw Maya, they were speechless, they didn't know when they started clapping as she got closer to them.

"Tonight our names should be the Stunning Daniels, what do you guys say?" Joel asked Maya and Kelvin.

They agreed with the nickname of the Night. They all kept repeating it "Stunning Daniels", as they admire them selves over and other again.

"Before we leave, let's see Rita." Kelvin suggested.

Just that same minute, they all heard Rita whispering from her room, "Don't come up here, or I won't let you guys leave." Rita was getting better and robust.

They were able to hear her with their vampire hearing ability, that's how Rita also heard Kelvin's suggestion to come see her earlier.

They whispered kind and get well soon words back to Rita before leaving for the ceremony.
