Chapter 4: The Witch Coven

As Alisha walked home with her grandmother and the other witches, her mind was in a state of turmoil. She still couldn't believe that the man who had made her heart race the night before was none other than Kelvin Daniel - the most feared and wrathful vampire to ever grace Ratel city.

Fifteen years ago, when Kelvin had still been in Ratel, Alisha had been too young to see him. All she could remember were the stories about his evil deeds - stories that had been told and retold many times over the years. However, now that she had finally met him face to face, she couldn't help but feel a strange attraction to him, even though she knew that he was a vampire and, therefore, her mortal enemy.

As Alisha's thoughts drifted, her grandmother noticed her preoccupation and spoke up. "What's on your mind, child?" she asked, her voice gentle but firm.

Alisha hesitated for a moment, then replied, "It's just that...Kelvin Daniel...I can't believe that he's back."

Gangia nodded thoughtfully, sensing that there was more to Alisha's words than met the eye. "Yes, he is a powerful vampire, to be sure. But we must not let our guard down. The Daniels have always been a dangerous sort, and with Kelvin in their midst, who knows what kind of trouble they might be stirring up."

Gangia, Alisha's grandmother, was a wise and powerful figure, with half-white hair that flowed down her back. Despite being in her nineties, she exuded an ageless grace and vitality that was the hallmark of the Shakan witches - a coven known for their unparalleled strength and durability. She moved with the confidence of someone who had seen it all, and her presence commanded the respect and admiration of all who knew her.

The Shakan Coven was a tight-knit, close group of witches that had been one of the most powerful forces in Ratel for generations. In their hands laid the "Tribrid Stone", a stone that holds the fate of Ratel.

They were known for their deep respect for nature and their commitment to using their powers for good.

The members of the coven had a distinct style, wearing flowing, earthy-colored clothing made from natural fibers like linen or cotton. They often adorned themselves with jewelry made from gemstones or other natural materials and were rarely seen without a cloak or shawl draped over their shoulders.

Their rituals were elaborate affairs, involving the lighting of candles and the burning of incense, with the chanting of spells and invocations to the elemental forces of nature. They believed in the power of symbolism and often used talismans and other magical objects in their rituals.

One of the most important aspects of their rituals was the practice of visualization, in which they used their minds to focus their energies on a specific goal. They also believed in the importance of community and would often gather in groups to perform rituals and celebrate the turning of the seasons.

Overall, the coven was an impressive and awe-inspiring group of individuals, who wielded their powers respectfully and with great responsibility. Whether performing elaborate rituals or going about their daily lives, their connection to the earth and each other was a testament to the power of nature and the human spirit.

There are total numbers of five known witch Covens in Ratel city, and the Shakan Coven is the head of all.

As Alisha approached her room, she was surprised to see Ethan waiting for her at the entrance, holding a bouquet of wildflowers in his hand.

"Ethan, what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice filled with joy and surprise, she smiled.

"I just wanted to see you, my love," Ethan said, his voice soft and tender.

Ethan was a striking and powerful werewolf, with piercing green eyes and a commanding presence. A werewolf who was known to be quite wrathful during the full moon. As a result, he had to be locked up and chained in a room for his own safety, as well as the safety of those around him.

Despite this dark side, Ethan had a kind heart and was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He wore simple leather jackets that allowed him more freedom of movement when he transformed, and his rugged handsomeness was complemented by his remarkable physical strength. Alisha had been drawn to his inner strength and loyalty from the very beginning, and had grown to admire the way he grappled with his darker side in order to protect those he cared for most.

With Ethan by her side, she felt that anything was possible.

As he leaned in to kiss her, Alisha felt her heart skip a beat. His lips were gentle and warm, and she could feel the love and passion behind each touch. They stood there for a few moments, lost in each other's embrace, before finally breaking apart.

Alisha was already drenched with desire from just the briefest of romantic touches and the passionate kiss from Ethan.

As they walked into Alisha's room, Ethan took a moment to admire her beauty. Her long, flowing hair cascaded down her back, and her striking blue eyes sparkled in the soft light of the candles.

They sat down on the bed together, still holding hands, and began to talk about the group meeting between the witches and werewolves earlier in the day.

"It was quite intense, wasn't it?" Ethan said, his voice laced with concern.

"It was," Alisha replied, sighing deeply. "There's so much tension between our kind, it's hard to know what to do sometimes."

He nodded in agreement, his piercing green eyes filled with understanding and empathy.

Ethan, the assistant commander of the Ratel Inspectors (Elite group), had already examined the dead werewolves with his team before others arrived at the scene.

His team was highly trained and specialized in investigating supernatural occurrences, and they had meticulously documented every detail of the incident. With their findings in hand, Ethan was prepared to guide the other members of the group through the analysis and deduction process.

"Ratel is a mysterious place, and we happen to be a part of it," Ethan whispered to Alisha's ears, breathing heavily on her neck down to her elegant smooth shoulders. He softly kissed her shoulders, igniting a fire of desire within her.

The word 'mystery' immediately brought to mind the memory of Kelvin using the same term to refer to her the previous night.

" 'Mystery, huh?' Shadow," she said dreamily and smiled as she remembered the incredibly passionate atmosphere she experienced that night with Kelvin.

"What are you talking about?" Ethan asked, but she brushed it off and said, "Oh, nothing."

She declined Ethan's advances, as her passion had faded. "I have a ritual to prepare for in the next three hours," she informed him, peppering him with kisses on his lips.

"Now?" He asked.

Alisha nodded to reply. "I will see you at the feast after the ritual is successful. Take your time, but please don't keep me waiting for too long." Alisha added with a smile.

"So I got turned on for nothing?" Ethan uttered in a funny tone. They both laughed as Ethan exit the room.
