The End of The Eclipse
15 YEARS AGO, YEAR 5 OF THE MARELIRIAN ECLIPSE
Araya could only watch as it unfolded right before her eyes, powerless as the event took place. She was walking towards the outside of the high temple, looking for her daughter, when find her she did. Find her just in time to see her walking in front of a group of younger dera noviches. She was herding then towards the temple, covering them with her own body. The younger children are all crying, and Amara was doing her best to calm them down.
Suddenly, a rustling noise came from near the trees just beyond where the group is. A man in a camouflage green colored uniform reveals himself, rifle at the ready, aiming at the group.
Araya's heart stopped beating, the view unfolding in front of her. She held her breath as she watched the man aim, a lump caught in her throat, freezing her solid on her feet as the perpetrator smiles with the maniacal grin of a hunter having locked in on its prey.
