"Yada yada hi dharmsya glanirbabto bharato, avuthanm adharmasya tadatmanam srijyanayaham,
paritranay sadhunam binasay cha duskritam, dharma sansthapanarthay samvabami yuge yuge" [Whenever the injustice and corruption rules over an age, I, Lord Vishnu, will always be reincarnated to destroy the evils and devils - Srimad Bhagad Gita]
Shivam Singh Raizada, the topclass budding businessman, multi-millionaire and notorious playboy, tries hard to concentrate on the heap of files lying before him in the table. In a fine sunny day he is sitting in the private chamber of his lavishly decorated office. The office room has two doors, one in forward and another is in backward, next to the washroom. In a hot climate of Rajasthan the noontime is quite scorching hot and gloomy; so even in a air-conditioned room like this, a small sign of sweat is to be seen in his forehead. Bikaner is mostly known as the "red city" just like Jaisalmer is known as the "yellow city or golden city" and Jaypur as the "Pink City". It is claimed to be a red city also because of its red hot climate.
The office room is quite big and completely well decorated with modern amenities. The room is 20*20 square feet on each side. The room is neatly divided into two parts by a large beautifully decorated wooden divider; one part contains his work station while other part contains his meeting zone.
His working station contains several items like a lavish deep brown Mahogany table, a revolving chair in navy blue color and two navy blue revolving chairs just behind the table. The work station is situated in the left side of the room which can be seen directly by opening the large door of his private chamber by anyone. One mantlepiece nests in his left with a Budhha idol sitting on it. Just behind him are two giant sized french windows, drawn with green curtains, from where the beauty of the entire city of Bikaner can be observed and admired.
On the right side of the room is situated a three seater cream colored couch, a large teak wood crafted cofee table along with two single seater matching sofa sets. A TV unit along with a large 56 inch LED TV can be seen in the far end of the same wall. There is no more furniture in his room.
He is sitting ideally in his work table where a desktop is lying in his left and a laptop is open in his lap. He is trying to concentrate on his work schedule but in vain. An intercom is hanging beside him, on the left side of the wall. A private telephone nests on his right on the table.
Since his brother Satyam Singh Raizada has been appointed as MLA of the state, his job flourishes randomly. He, at first struggled with the job of supplying stone chips, but now he becomes a well known promoter and builder of Bikaner in just five years. His "Raizada Enterprise" immediately caught the attention of many industrialists and socialites since the auspicious day of its foundation. All credit goes to his brother Satyam and his political connections. However the controbution of Shivam's sister-in-law, Damayanti, should not be ignored at all. As a famous social activist she helped most people to understand the usefulness of all the eco-friendly building products used just by Raizada builders. Shivam suppresses a small smile. Eco-friendly building materials. How absurd an idea. But how easily people fall for it. He again suppresses a yawn that is coming out of his mouth. It is only 4'o clock and he he has to stay at his office at least till 6.
Shivam is 30 years old. Still bachelor and and enjoying his bachelorhood. He is extremely handsome, almost a Greek God type. He has an athletic body type, strong torso, well built legs, broad shoulders, chiselled body, six packs abs. He seems devilishly attractive to any young girl with his extremely fair skin tone with deep blue eyes inherited from his mother's side (his mother Amrita devi, the third and youngest wife of his father Pratap Singh Raizada, also had blue eyes), long eyelashes, trimmed eyebrows, strong cheekbones with double chin, pink cheeks, red lips and small sign of mustache over his upper lip area.
All of a sudden he jolts up from his daydreaming. The intercom starts ringing loudly.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
He attends the call.
"Hello"
"Sir, I am Ana. Your Secretary."
"Yes"
He sounds more agitated than he thought.
"I beg your pardon, Sir, but madam BDO of Bikaner district wants to meet you. Now."
"Okay. Send her in."
He hangs up the phone with a loud thud in irritation. What does a BDO wants from him? He seems dubious to let her in, but decides against it. Let's face the tide.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Someone is banging his door loudly. Shivam impatiently looks towards the door. Why on earth she is so impatient? That little woman should be taught the importance of patience in life. He tries to control his upcoming rage and by clearing his throat announces aloud -
"Come on in, whoever you are."
The door flies open with a loud noise.
Schreech...
A girl of 27 enters into his office room by clicking her heels on the floor. She is fair, around 5'8", with a head full of long straight black hair. She wore a simple yellow colored saree with red blouse and rimless spectacle. She with confidrnce goes straight towards his working station. Shivam suddenly jolts up by seeing her. Is she the same girl from his college whom he had a secret crush on?
"Shivangi right? How are you? What are you doing now?" He asks with a broad smile in face.
"I have no time to make small talk with you. I have come to warn you. As a BDO of the state this is my duty." She claims very politely yet confidently. Something is different in her. She looks more mature, more dignified, more confident, more ravishing than before.
"Warn me? For what?" He demands to know.
"For using cheap materials in your buildings. One of your buildings situated at Junagarh Fort Road broke down and many men were hurt. Some were killed too." She firmly yet boldly declares the reason for her burging into the office.
"So what?" He asks indifferently by nesting one leg over another.
"I know, Mr. Raizada, you have ample chances to do such nasty thing because of our corrupt political leaders who take huge amount of money to issue tender in the favor of such corrupt builders like you." She explains her ground excellently.
He just makes a face without uttering a single word to her.
"But beware. Even your brother could not save you this time." She threatens him by looking directly in his eyes.
"Let's see that. In the meantime you may have some cofee to cheer up." He tries to call his secretary when she signals him to stop.
"Don't worry. I am not poisoning you." He tries to assure her.
"Thanks. But I have no desire to eat or drink with you." By saying this she gets up from her chair and stretches her hand towards him to shake.
He takes it. So soft. He likes the soft sensation of her skin.
With a jolt she breaks her right outstretched hand free from his grip and utters slowly by lifting her left eyebrow -
"I see you did not change at all. The same casanova."
With a snort she moves out of his office. But this first impression after 5 long years gap, remains forever imprinted in Shivam's mind just like thier first meeting. He is lost once again in daydreams. But this time most of them revolves around Shivangi, that girl who just left the premise.
